CW (gotta get my Supernatural)
USA
TNT
FX
SyFy (for the occasional awful SyFy original)

The only channels I'd pay for are either dead (like MTV and American Movie Classics) or never existed.

4. AMC
5. Food Network
6. Bravo
7. ESPN
8. Cartoon Network
9. TBS

Cartoon Network
ESPN
TCM
TBS
SyFy
USA

I'd just load up on channels that carry the most live sporting events that matter to me. Those are the only things I watch that I wouldn't be able to access through other means (DVD, streaming services, etc.).

So some combination of ten that includes the four major broadcast networks with the rest being sports channels like ESPN.
