Nice overreaction!
I don't like how they are going to be censoring the episodes since the show is not referring specifically about the Japanese disaster and the "nuclear meltdowns" have been it's running theme since the show started. http://tv.yahoo.com/simpsons/show/21...germany#032611 German TV editing "Simpsons" for nuke references By Scott Roxborough Fri Mar 25, 12:58 PM PDT German Television has put a moratorium on meltdowns in "The Simpsons." Reacting to the real-life nuclear disaster unfolding in Japan, Pro7, the channel that airs "The Simpsons" in Germany, will be reviewing current and future episodes of the show and remove or replace any that feature a disaster at Mr. Burns' nuclear power plant. Networks in Austria and Switzerland have reportedly followed suit. So far neither Pro7 nor Swiss network SF have pulled any "Simpsons" episodes, but both channels say they are screening shows for "unsuitable" references to nuclear disaster. But the danger of nuclear power is a core theme on the long-running cartoon. "The Simpsons"' opening sequence features Homer tossing a radioactive fuel rod out of his car on the way home. The first "Simpsons" shorts aired on "The Tracey Ullman Show" in 1987, just one year after the Chernobyl disaster. |

That was pretty awesome to see them start off the episode with the Futurama Theme and the Planet Express Ship doing a flyby.

The opening was the best part of this ep. Do not take candy from this bunny

What was the dedication at the end? Looked away and only caught a glimpse of it, but not enough to make out what it said.

Missed the opening, which sounds like it was the only good part of the episode.
The dedication was for Elizabeth Taylor, who voiced Maggie's first word. |

What was the movie parody with Bart throwing the basketball at homer?

I think it was from "He Got Game", but I'm not sure.

"The Great Santini" with Robert Duvall (aka "The Ace" when it ran on HBO before it got a theatrical release) |
