Given the quality of the shooting of the first fight, that might be the best way to end it. And at this point they screwed up enough of the characters with some of the crazy plot arcs, that maybe it's best to leave it up in the air.

If they do show the fight, I kind of hope he gets crushed - it would seem to be fitting given he's not really training anymore, abandoned the trainer who apparently had him in great shape and heading in the right direction and has 1-2 rounds of actual boxing since his retirement.
