Smallville has killed science and the laws of sense many times as well, like the people that write these shows do not understand how such powers would work, sometimes they get it right and other times they just get it very wrong or forget too many things.

Even if the idea of powers is so far out there the laws of physics can still apply unless their power is to break them.

One of the executive producers (Marc Guggenheim) has WRITTEN the Flash comic.

They knew what they were doing when they put that there.

That makes it even worse. Why would he give that lame scene a pass? I'm sure he obviously read it before it was filmed. I haven't read the Flash since Wally took Barry's place so Guggenheim's name doesn't ring a bell but I've read almost every Flash story before the stupid Crisis storyline.

"Very Tony Stark in his demon in a bottle days" LOVED that scene.
The two sidekicks make the show.
