Synopsis:

Spoiler:
Raphael (guest star Lanette Ware) launches an attack on Castiel (Misha Collins) and his allies, sending a particularly frightening angelic hitman (guest star Carlos Sanz) after Balthazar (guest star Sebastian Roche), Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles). In an effort to protect the brothers, Balthazar sends them to an alternate universe where they are the stars of the hit TV show called "Supernatural" and they are actors named "Jensen Ackles" and "Jared Padalecki." The brothers are confused when Castiel appears to be a tweet-happy actor named Misha Collins and Sam is married to Ruby (Genevieve Cortese).

 I cannot wait for this one. I think this has the potential to be a classic.

It could be a classic, or it could be another Ocean's 12 (shudder)...

I'm looking forward to this. Supernatural usually does a great job of breaking the fourth wall.

Now the question is: how accurate were the details?

Was that Jared's house?
Jensen's trailer?

OMG, that was awesome. That was easily one of the most creative episodes Supernatural has ever done. I couldn't stop laughing.

 at the murder of Misha Collins.

 at Dean freaking out seeing Jensen Ackles clips on Days of our Lives.

:thumbsup: Loved the scene where "Robert Singer" and "Jim Michaels" called Sera Gamble to complain about Jared and Jensen

 at Dean realizing Bobby was named after Executive Producer Robert Singer. "What kind of douche bag name a character after himself?"

rotfl at "Eric Kripke" getting shot to death.

 Huge kudos to Ben Edlund for writing a solid script and willing to have a little fun with the show this week.

That's what I was wondering... were the people "behind" the camera really playing themselves or were those actors? How about the thing about them not talking off screen?

Good episode - they actually did a great job of trying not to laugh. The opening really sealed the deal for me - as a recent fan of the show - It really caught me off guard and I even thought at one point this episode was going to really shove the show in another direction but once things got serious again....I was glad to see that it didn't go that way - they definitely must have had a blast making this one.

But someone please explain - what was with all the "At least they're talking to each other again" - I didn't get the inside joke.

I think it was a joke, maybe. Jared and Jensen are said to be really good friends off set. Even going to each others weddings. I think they were even groomsmen. I think the joke is they spend to much time together.

Singer, Michaels and Eric Kripke were all actors playing them. Not sure about Sera Gamble on the phone though.

"You Married fake Ruby."
Interesting episode. Laughed at the scene where one of the production guys said they must had a really good night together or something like that adrdessing the fan fiction.

The joke was supposed to be that Sam and Dean are brothers and the actors playing them, Jared and Jensen, CAN'T FUCKING STAND EACH OTHER. It was making them out to be TV divas who don't get along, so the "at least they're talking to each other" bit was meant to make it clear that in this alternate universe, Jared and Jensen normally do not get along - but now for some reason they were burying the hatchet so to speak.

Classic episode, I laughed my ass off. "Season 6".

That does make more sense. I was thinking about the days of our lives clip they showed earlier today - that was pretty damn funny. The entire crew really made fun of themselves during this episode....seemed like they didn't hold anything back.

I think the "acting" part was my favorite though...so much funny stuff packed in to a short time frame "don't look directly into the camera!!!"

I love that SPN gives us one of these ridiculous eps a season. They're so much fun.

I know I wasn't the only one that paused the show to see if Jared was really married to "fake Ruby". What a lucky sumnavabitch.

The first Ruby was way hotter though.

I like that Misha Collins real twitter account sent out the messages you see in the episode. But mishamigos shouldn't fear for his well-being based on what they saw in the episode. He sent this one out after the episode aired:

My phone was stolen and apparently cast into a parallel universe devoid of magic. I've retrieved it. I promise it won't happen again.

So many great moments, and the still frame shot at the end where they bust through the window again...just perfect! Hahaha. "Whatever, Season 6..." Awesome!

Great episode, loved it for all of the reasons already stated. I already knew Jared was married to Ruby Version 2.0. However, if that really is Jared's house then... dayyum playa.

Great ep. I thought Dean watching Jensen on Days Of Our Lives was priceless.
