Charlie Sheen just wrote a sternly worded open letter -- which he's given to TMZ -- addressing the decision to shut down the production of "Two and a Half Men" for the rest of the season.
The letter reads: What does this say about Haim Levine [Chuck Lorre] after he tried to use his words to judge and attempt to degrade me. I gracefully ignored this folly for 177 shows ... I fire back once and this contaminated little maggot can't handle my power and can't handle the truth. I wish him nothing but pain in his silly travels especially if they wind up in my octagon. Clearly I have defeated this earthworm with my words -- imagine what I would have done with my fire breathing fists. I urge all my beautiful and loyal fans who embraced this show for almost a decade to walk with me side-by-side as we march up the steps of justice to right this unconscionable wrong. Remember these are my people ... not yours...we will continue on together... Charlie Sheen |

I haven't heard the audio but... "fire breathing fists"... he sounds like he's kidding. Or nuts. One of those.

Re: Two and a Half Men to suspend production for the rest of season
Hopefully we'll get a sequel to The Chase!

Re: Two and a Half Men to suspend production for the rest of season
It should also be noted that Lorre used one of his title cards last week to say "I'm going to be pissed if Charlie Sheen outlives me". So technically, he started it. :)

Re: Two and a Half Men to suspend production for the rest of season
There's another reason why Sheen may be really pissed - he's not going to be paid for any unproduced episodes.
If you’re outraged by Charlie Sheen’s interviews today, here’s one fact that might make you feel better: The actor won’t get paid for the axed Two and a Half Men episodes. Sources say Sheen will not receive his estimated $1.2 million per-episode salary for the remaining four half-hours that CBS had commissioned from Warner Bros. (There were originally eight episodes left in the season, but CBS reduced the order after the show went on a production hiatus so Sheen could seek treatment.) Sheen is currently ranked the highest-paid actor on TV. As for the rest of the Men cast and crew, it’s currently unclear if they will be left high and dry, or will receive some measure of post-Sheen meltdown hazard pay. |
Re: Two and a Half Men to suspend production for the rest of season
It would be tempting for anyone who works on the show to sue Sheen for lost wages.
Hey, what's Emilio up to these days? Maybe they can cast him to replace Sheen. He could probably use the work. |

Sheen is dead by Labor Day. |
Re: Two and a Half Men to suspend production for the rest of season
What an ego on this guy. Sure, he clearly gets paid the most on this show. But does he really think he's the only reason why it was successful and can't go on without him!? If so, what a tool. His only success prior to this was, as others here have pointed out was, "Major League" and "Spin City". And the latter he stepped in for an ailing star to continue the series. I just love have he told the producers of "Men" that he can go on to "work with superstars in films", calling them idiots. Um, yeah. You go Charlie. Only in your delusional dreams.

Re: Two and a Half Men to suspend production for the rest of season
Amazing that someone with his appetite for drugs and access to cash is still alive.
Platoon, Wall Street, and Young Guns were also successful for whatever it's worth. |
Re: Two and a Half Men to suspend production for the rest of season
He was clean for probably a decade and then he goes back to using drugs?
It is a shame that this show gets better ratings than 30 Rock & Parks & Recreation which don't even finish in the top 20 in the Nielsons. Probably a laugh track is what you need if you want a successful sitcom. |

I exercise regularly. I eat moderate amounts of healthy food. I make sure to get plenty of rest. I see my doctor once a year and my dentist twice a year. I floss every night. I've had chest x–rays, cardio stress tests, EKG's and colonoscopies. I see a psychologist and have a variety of hobbies to reduce stress. I don't drink. I don't smoke. I don't do drugs. I don't have crazy, reckless sex with strangers. If Charlie Sheen outlives me, I'm gonna be really pissed. Source |

Admit it. Everyone here would watch a Sheen reality show train wreck, me included.

At least for any remaining episodes. I might even tune in for that. |
Re: Two and a Half Men to suspend production for the rest of season
Wow, that is a Mel Gibson-worthy rant. I had no idea Sheen was so batshit crazy. -ohbfrank-

The Wednesday night ABC comedies get between 2-6 million more viewers and don't have laugh tracks. |

Let's just recast Ted McGinley in Charlie's role.

Re: Two and a Half Men to suspend production for the rest of season
I have watched the show a few times in recent weeks to see why it is so popular. I am still scratching my head wondering. Seems like a middle of the road typical sit com....but maybe even thats giving it some credit. I do have to admit that Charlies recent hijinks are comedy gold. We need to be watching him in normal life on TV and not some half arsed sit com. Now that would be worth 1.2 million an episode. I have been cracking up at how he cured his disease....with his mind. Thats 24 carat right there.
As an additional note, why is it that the kid (he looks about 18 now and the weight of a small Indian family combined) always seems pissed in the show? That kid is a horrible actor and if in one episode Charlie came home after a night snorting blow off the back of a whores back and shot that kid in the face....that would be a vast improvement right off the bat. |

Re: Two and a Half Men to suspend production for the rest of season
I'm glad Kiefer Sutherland never had this bad of a meltdown and ruined 24. He had that DUI, which fortunately didn't interfere with production of the show.

Re: Two and a Half Men to suspend production for the rest of season
I wonder how much money he really has. With this kind of lifestyle there is no way he is making smart money decisions. Everyone likes to point out how much he makes etc... but I doubt he really has much of it.

Re: Two and a Half Men to suspend production for the rest of season
If they come up with a clever way to replace Charlie, maybe even pull a Darren Stevens and not even address it, it could be fun.

Re: Two and a Half Men to suspend production for the rest of season
Its ok, hes going to show up on set anyway. I love Charlie sometimes
Charlie Sheen: I'm Returning to Work Anyway http://www.people.com/people/article...ss-fullcontent Although CBS shut down production of Two and a Half Men, Charlie Sheen intends to be on the set as scheduled next week. The actor, 45, who went on a bizarre rampage this week against the show's creator, Chuck Lorre, has another year left on his contract earning him nearly $2 million an episode. The show had been on hiatus while Sheen underwent a private rehab program and took a vacation. On Thursday, the network canceled the rest of the season because of what it called his "statements, conduct and condition." But Sheen tells ABC's Good Morning America in a text message from the Bahamas that he's 100 percent clean and plans to be on the set Tuesday, when he was originally supposed to return. |
