Old Spider-Man series?

I've been thinking about this a lot recently... Back in the early 90s I can vividly remember watching a live action Spider Man show. It looked like it was from the 80s maybe the late 70s. I don't think I saw it more than a couple times. The only info I can find on anything like this is a Japanese series that could possibly fit the bill but apparently it didn't debut in English until Marvel put the series on its website a couple of years ago.

Any help?

I remember that there was an episode (Or pilot) released on VHS during the 80's.

I have fond memories of that pilot/movie. Seeing Spidey in live action as a kid was great, even though it doesn't hold up.

Love the synth-clav theme music, great 70's stuff.

I was so happy to see a Spidey show as a kid, that I was willing to overlook the changes and the lack of real villains. Even then, I knew it wasn't a great show.
