1/3 of the way in, not all the impressed, other than the eye candy factor.
(Chuck really never gets the picture that he can't keep digging into Sarah's past without her knowledge. Much as I love him, it's getting pretty annoying.)

Anyone notice the position of the blanket when Carina was in Morgan's bed? When the camera was in front of her, the blanket was positioned near the top of her hip, but when the camera was behind her, the blanket was positioned around her knee.

Ok episode, nothing super special. It reminded me a little of S1 eps in that were lighthearted and fun but no major arc or direction to the storyline. No building to anything big. I did like seeing Sarah continue to soften a tad and be willing to talk to Ellie but that's it. Cat squad really did nothing for the show either. Poor Lou Diamond Phillips might as well have been the guy from your local 7-11 - he was so underutilized.
Clearly they will be bringing back her Dad and then going on to Sarah's mom which surely turn out to be some horrendous villain out to do something bad and Sarah has to stop her (hmmm sound familiar). They have definitely laid that ground work with the comments Sarah made.
Here is hoping they can really kick it in gear soon as I don't see a S5 happening if they continue down this path.
Next ep looks very "cute" but its about V-Day so why the hell didn't that play tonight instead of next week ... that sure seems dumb.

I liked that they took a step away from a story arc and did an episode like this.

I do too but ultimately this episode wasn't anything to write home about. It had plenty of potential for being a fun & lighthearted episode but they went too far into the cheese department for it to work, IMO.
I did enjoy Morgan this week, but everything else was sorely lacking.

Chuck has become a real annoying bitchbaby over the past couple seasons. I'm really tired of him wanting to discuss his feelings with Sarah when they are on a mission... he really comes across as a tremendously insecure dildo.

As I recall from an interview Yvonne gave on where the show was going she mentioned this very thing ... ie Chuck and Sarah area in a relationship now and we will be showing how they deal with these things as a couple.
I think they did a great job of that in last week's ep (Seduction one) with him saying no to her and the shock and awe that she had to his comments.
The fact that he chooses to do this on missions is just Chuck. Besides if they are pretty much always on missions when else would they discuss it. Its not like a reality show where they can show things 24/7 and for the time they are home they can sit and chat about this stuff and we can see it. It's a 1 hour show a week (42 mins w/o commercials) so when else can they talk about it.
Does Chuck seem a little whiny about it sometimes ... yep but that is part of his character. And yeah I think any normal/regular guy who got this super good looking bad ass spy girl who could probably have anyone else on the planet she wanted should seem a little insecure at times.
I will add that they seem to have been trying to give Chuck and Morgan more best friend time lately. If you had a BFF like they are supposed to be you would be chatting about all these things naturally. Morgan is a cool and fun character and I am glad to see him getting some quality screen time and not just a gag here or there. Also very happy no Jeff/Lester again this week. I hate to say it but those guys are played out. I know many of you miss them but not me.
Next week appears to be another stand alone episode again so they will need to get it in gear after that to close out the season or perhaps the series. I would say there is no doubt the wedding will be in the finale. Question is will it be an actual full blown event (ie big wedding Chuck wants) or will it be a thrown together last min on mission I want to marry you right here, right now type event.

I didn't like this episode at all. In fact, I was downright bored with it. Shame since I loved last week's episode.

I liked this episode. It reminded me of S1. Ellie said it best in her monologue at the end. Him being a whiney little bitch is what makes him Chuck and so easy to love. Morgan has been the highlight since Chuck and Sarah got together

Just read on the NBC.com Chuck Forums that it garnered a 1.7 last night - not good. I know that nothing on NBC is doing well and that Chuck stays consistent while most other shows have dropped like rocks but I have a feeling this may be the end for Chuck this season.
What gets me is when they have an awesome episode like Phase Three or Push Mix and it still doesn't do well. Although I guess we should be thankful it does as well as it does going against crap DWITS all the time and that we have had it for this long.

The drawback is that NBC had a new President after the Comcast merger, who has no ties/special love for Chuck. And he ordered 21 new Pilots for next season. I have a feeling that NBC's Fall 2011 schedule besides the Thursday comedy lineup is going to be dramatically different.

Mercedes Masöhn, looks like she's only done one-offs so probably tough to recall her from any of those. I'm thinking Entourage is where I've recognized her.
