Keith Olberman - Out!

Keith Olberman out at MCNBC.

I used to enjoy his show offering a comedic view of politics but, in my opinion, this guy went off the deep end with his nightly rantings about G. W. Bush. I was not a fan of Bush's presidency but Olberman went way too far with his unpleasant nightly tirades. (No, I don't watch Fox either but that's a whole 'nother story.) I think Olbermans hit on the head went, well, to his head. Then be helped that Rachel Madow, his female wannbe clone, get on the network and that was the end of evening MNBC for me.

How do you feel about this guy leaving MSNBC?

I don't like the guy, he seems and acts like an egotistical tool

His show, just like Maddow and Hannity are totally ridiculous for anyone who enjoys politics. These shows are made for the true partisans who just want to hear someone preach to the choir. Their whole shows are about burying the other political party in every segment, but rarely looking at things objectively. They constantly have pundits on their shows who agree with them in philosophy, so it is dialogue of 2 people who agree with each other, and whenever they have panels, they are usually tilted toward one side. Just check Hannity's American Panel, most of the time they have 2 conservatives and one liberal.

These shows are a joke, good riddance Keith! Come back to ESPN with Craig Kilborn, you guys were great together!

Cool get rid of Maddow, Hannity, Beck, and maybe we'll have reasonable discussions on the airwaves.

He's simply the political opposite of Beck. They're both good at what they do, preaching to their respective audience and skewing facts to lampoon the other side/channel. He did seem more lighthearted at it though(along the lines of a Jon Stewart), where Beck always seems on the verge of a psychotic break.

Hopefully, they'll bring back Dan Abrams. :) Not the political Abrams, the legal Abrams. ;)

HANNITY used to be HANNITY & COLMES. Now, yes his Hannity's American Panel is what you say, but that's Bill Maher's also.

Beck shows a lot of American history on his show.
Beck shows videos of what they say.
If Beck's show was all bull like the LEFT bloggers say then why was Van Jones fired from the White House after Beck did a story on him?

Because the Obama White House is filled with spineless pussies who cower in fear of the very vocal right-wing.

When this appeared on Saturday Night Live, Olberman actually played portions of it on his show the following Monday. It's hard for me to imagine Beck, Hannity or O'Reilly having the sense of humor to feature comedy sketches that satirized them.

Actually O'Reilly played clips from MADTV (Fox affiliate) Michael McDonalds skit of O'Reilly Factor and doing a great impersonation. He would ask a question, and as soon as the person would answer, he kept interrupting them and wouldn't let them talk. O'Reilly actually had a pretty good sense of humor about it.

Does anyone think that the timing of the Comcast/NBC merger last week and Olberman leaving have anything to do with it? The Roberts Family (Owner of Comcast) are VERY conservative, and I wonder if they are going to change MSNBC from a liberal slanted station to be more like Fox and lean conservative to compete. Just a theory.

Back when SNL did it's first Glenn Beck skit, Beck tweeted and linked to the video:

@glennbeck Glenn Beck
The hair, chin and chalkboard. FUNNY. SNL Spoofs Glenn Beck http://bit.ly/14yEcT

The Colbert Report is basically a nightly parody of the O'Reilly Factor, but they've both appeared on each other's shows. I don't think any of these guys on FNC take themselves too seriously.
