I think the blackout episode was the season finale unfortunately.

Finally watched the "blackout" episode last night. Not the best of the season, but was worth it for the final segment during the closing credits. Don't think I've ever seen that Terminator scene spoofed before.

I liked the one the episode with the old MTV VJs and the biker guys brags he does not own a TV and then he jumps at the chance to grab a free TV in the dump and after watching MTV he complains it sucks and wants the old 80's MTV back lol.

re: Portlandia (IFC) -- Series Thread -- S: Fred Armisen, Carrie Brownstein

IFC announced on Wednesday morning that its Friday night staple, Portlandia, has been renewed for not one but two more seasons.

The 10-episode Seasons 4 and 5 will premiere in early 2014 and 2015, respectively.

“Portlandia has celebrated sustainable local agriculture, underemployment, avian crafting, gender politics, intense bicycle messengers and so much more,” IFC president Jennifer Caserta said in announcing the double-dip pick-up. “We can now celebrate two more seasons.”

Created/written by and starring Fred Armisen and Carrie Brownstein, Portlandia wrapped Season 3 this past March.

Also for folks that didn't have a season pass set, last week there was a 15-minute episode "The Celery Incident" featuring Buscemi. Was great - as is most things Portlandia.

Is that a new episode or a episode that will probably air again later this season?

Usually the new season starts in Jan and not this late unless they did not want to compete with the Olympics.

Yes -- think of it as episode zero of Season 4: self-contained story/mini-episode, ran about 12 with no commercials.

From the description, it might re-air as episode three of this season.

That was honestly one of the most clever things I've seen in a while. Your soulmate, is a machine that knows you based on your internet tracking

There actually wasn't a bad skit in the episode, hopefully that means good things for the full season.

Can't believe there isn't more discussion about this show here. IMO, it's the funniest show on television.

Last week's episode was my jam.

Loved Jeff Goldblums "Pull out King" bit.
His version of "I shouldn't be telling you this" cracked me up.

Show continues to hit it out of the park week after week. Loved the Punslingers and the whole "Late in life drug use" storyline. Only 2 episodes left this season.

It's so weird seeing an old Mike Nesmith on this show.
