Forgive me for thinking your zesty performance deserves some praise!

Remind me next time not to watch this show while eating. The "she offered me her cupcakes" line made me nearly choke lol.

Thanks! I knew that 'zesty' was in there, which totally cracked me up.

As soon as Cam and Mitchell said "strawberry", I knew the kid was going to be allergic. At least they stopped Amelia before she pulpfictioned her own son.

"We're gonna need a little extra time at airport security, because I'm pretty sure they're going to want to pat you down."
Hell yes.

On a side note, I think you misunderstand what she was going to do. She was going to give him an EpiPen injection which prevents severe allergic reactions/anaphylaxis. She wasn't going to jab an adrenaline needle into his heart. The point is that she totally BLOWS relatively small things out of proportion. Using an EpiPen did not merit the reaction she gave especially since the child was clearly not going into anaphylactic shock.

It was amazing. What a hysterical episode.

"We were, as they say 'having sex'."
"That's not a euphemism Phil. That's exactly what we were doing."

"What do we do now?"
"Okay, I'm really concerned about reading this situation the wrong way, but I'm 80% sure you're coming on to me. Okay, now...forty."

"did you notice Dad was making the same face he makes when he smells a new car?"

Gloria: "It happened to me before with another woman. And that time, I was the one getting it. It hurt."
Phil: "Wow"

Gloria: "Maybe taste my cupcakes; I will join you."
Phil: "I may pass out."

Jay: "I don't think you should be asking the questions missy."
Phil: "Don't get mad at her; your wife just offered up her cupcakes."

Jay: "It's a naked picture of Gloria."
Phil: "Woah"

Gloria: "It's a full body picture; you see EVERYTHING."
Phil: "I need to sit down."

Claire: "What I'm doing.... is deleting it."
Phil: *runs around to try to see it real quick* "Good for you!"

As mentioned in other post, Phil is one of the better characters in recent memory. He should get some love come award time, especially since he was snubbed last year, IMO.

I agree one of the best episodes of the series. Though the Cam/Mitch story felt a little familiar, wasn't there already an episode where they were at someone's house and screwed something up?

When they first went over to the house of Mitchel's current boss. Cam smashed a vase and then trashed his car.

After watching this episode (which, of course, was hilarious), i was racking my brain trying to remember if i have EVER seen doggie-style (dunphy-style?) on any primetime network show, comedy or drama. And I could not remember any (and I watch a decent amount of TV). Even on CSI, which has had numerous sex scenes, never does doggie-style. By the way, not counting sexual assault or rape from behind - talking consensual doggie-style.

but one thing did REALLY bug me about the sex scene. I KNOW they did this cause they can't show it, but NO ONE has sex in that position with the sheets pulled up on them like that. I think the scene would have worked better if a majority of the bodies were concealed by the kids' heads. Could have still seen it was that position, but wouldn't have had the ridiculous sheets issue.

Yeah it's just like chicks having sex with bras on while under the covers.

Phil wanted to do his frisky dingo wife Dunphy-style and build a bed fort at the same time.

but at least that's feasible, and i could believe does actually happen.

But draping covers over your partner while dunphy-styling?

you're covering up the best part!

That screen grab is taken immediately after the door opens. Phil is only just starting to react, while Claire is still enjoying herself.
