Ok. Both those adds are great TV. This will be the first season where Russel actually got to watch himself on TV since he played both seasons before going to one finale (I think... might be wrong here). Lets see if the master planner can learn from mistakes.

I don't mind this gimmick, but I've also heard that:

I think people become pharmaceutical reps just so they can get on reality shows.

I'm kinda torn. Part of me would like to see all new faces. However, that didn't work out all that well last season when they had so many clueless folks as part of the cast.

On the other hand, with an edge like that, in addition to their celebrity, the odds are INCREDIBLY against them for winning. As much as I enjoy both of them, I think they need to give it a rest with previous survivors returning.

That is a valid point. The new players may take the position that the returnees have had their chance(s) and vote them out the first chance they get.

I would like a return for Boston Rob, I find him endlessly entertaining but Russell has overstayed his welcome. I enjoyed the two seasons he was on but I've had enough.

I just love watching Boston Rob. Even more, I like figuring out how many times he hasn't won $1 Million : Survivor Marquesas, Survivor All-Stars, Fan favorite voting from Survivor All Stars, his & Amber's season on The Amazing Race Season 7, their return on Amazing Race All-Stars, Survivor Heroes & Villains. That's 0 for 7. Keep 'em coming!

Why would a top 20 network show decide to switch its format to a real world challenge show. This could be the beginning of the end.

As far as I'm concerned, they won their first try on AR. Nothing will ever convince me that the producers didn't get their plane heading to the final destination (and what would have been a runaway victory) to come back to the gate to pick up the other team.
But more Boston Rob is always good.
