I think this show is just edging out Modern Family and 30 Rock for my wife and I. We always get several big laughs from every episode, their timing with each other is great.

The dove in the frying pan just had me rolling.

The funeral is what really made me laugh out loud. The squirrel was named "Tuffie L'Rue" (Rue is French for road

) and the lizard was so on the shoe that he had to bury the whole shoe. I just love this show. I always laugh throughout.

I love this show as well, but my wife tuned out early in season 2 because she absolutely hates the character of Jules.

This and Community are easily my favorite shows right now.

As for Jules, I agree that she is a weak character, similar to Ted on HIMYM. I didn't like Laurie first, but she's grown on me. Love Ian Gomez...

If you pay attention to the opening title card, starting this season, they've made fun of how bad the show's name is. Instead of the "Welcome to Cougar Town" postcard they've been replacing the "Welcome to" with some snide remark about how the name "Cougar Town" doesn't really describe the show.

On a completely different subject from the title, the thing I love most about this show is the chemistry the cast has. The jokes are funny -- which is what I expect from a Bill Lawrence show -- but the cast really plays off each other better than any other sitcom cast I can think of.
