Ricky Gervais - Out of England 2 Standup Special

Did anyone catch it ?

This was the American version. I had already seen the British version of this stand up act and the material was about 80% the same with a few differences

Personally i think it was some of Ricky's best stand up work. I laughed throughout

Was the British version called the same thing?

I preferred his first Out of England. This one was not quite as top notch in terms of his jokes and stories. curious about the difference between the British and US versions.

Nope. And it'd be strange if it was. It was called "Science."

(I didn't really like either of them, and I'm a pretty big RG fan.)

I've got the DVR set to record it on HBO. I'll post my thoughts afterwords if this thread is still somewhat current. Now that he's lost a bit of weight, I find him less funny.

Very funny, but I think I also prefer the 1st one.

The joke about the daughter telling the dad what happened at the park had me . Great stuff.

Definitely had its moments, but not as funny as the first one, imo.

Agreed that the first one was better, but I still got some good laughs. Anything with Gervais is a must-watch for me. He even gets me to watch the Golden Globes!

Re: Ricky Gervais - Out of England 2 Standup Special

I liked it a lot, just like the previous U.S. special. (But my favorites are his U.K. specials from a few years ago called "Animals" and "Politics").
