Great list. This should be a "sticky" so it stays near the top.

One minor possible correction. Titan TV says Jan 2 episode of CSI:M is a repeat; actually two repeats, one at *, one at 10.

I can't say that I like CBS tinkering with their lineup in the winter, namely moving The Defenders (my favorite new broadcast network show) to Fridays at 8. It's only winning its timeslot every week, so now they want to tinker with it and put it out to pasture on Friday nights. Great job, assholes. -rolleyes-

More notes from CBS:

Blue Bloods: Moves to Wednesday's at 10pm for 4 weeks on January 19th

The Defenders: Moves to Friday's at 8pm on February 4th ^^ As Red Dog so eloquently mentioned

Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior: Premieres February 16th at 10pm after Criminal Minds

Mad Love: Premieres February 21st at 8:30pm

Rules of Engagement: Moves to Thursday's at 8:30pm on February 24th

Chaos: Premieres April 1st at 8pm

Also, The Defenders also got it's episode order cut from 22 to 18. 18 is still considered a full season.

Lovely. -rolleyes-

I'm not even going to bother watching new network shows next season. The ones that I end up liking all end up getting axed, even when they win their time slots. Screw them.

Geez, Now your taking this a little personally. A few entertainment trades (mainly the ratings site tvbythenumbers.com) have been reporting for months The Defenders was the most likely show to get it's episode order cut and moved to another day because CBS needed to make room for it's midseason shows. Even though it's overall viewership seems decent, it's one of the lowest rated shows in the 18-49 demographic Monday-Friday for such a competitive timeslot.

I can see it now - Hellcats will be the one new show that I liked (although not at all for its acting or scripts ;) ) that will be renewed. Good Guys and Lone Star are gone. The Event is hanging on by a thread. So it seems The Defenders is too.

Where did you get your info? CyE's new season has been given an October 2011 release since it was announced it would be back.

The Kennedy's (History Channel): Sunday March 6th

It's an 8-part scripted miniseries with Greg Kinnear and Katie Holmes as JFK and Jackie.

It's also from the makers of 24.

An update to mention regarding Damages on Directv.

Next week (January 5) is not the premiere of Season 4. Directv is re-airing seasons 1-3 starting with the Pilot.

Season 4 will premiere this summer. Most likely July or August.

Also Jadzia, you forgot to put the Series Premiere of Mad Love that I mentioned in post #30 on February 21st.

Friday Night Lights... has anyone heard when the next season will hit the Network? I am pretty sure the last season is now being played on Drirect TV. Any info would be great.

^ I don't think NBC has communicated anything yet, but a safe expectation is that it airs sometime this summer.

Young Justice begins airing on Cartoon Network on 1/7 at 7:00 p.m. I know it's a cartoon, but I think there will be a lot of adult interest due to its links with Batman / Superman / Justice League and the number of adult who watched those cartoons.

More dates for 2 new series:

The Killing (AMC): Sunday April 3rd

Breakout Kings (A&E): Sunday March 13th

Also, according to Deadline.com Breaking Bad resumes production next Thursday. Still premiering in the summer though.

You can remove The Kennedy's miniseries from the list. History Channel cancelled it today even though all 8 hours were filmed. It's still supposed to air in Canada and other international territories.

Is there any buzz for this? It looks really good (judging from the stuff at AMC's website), but I haven't seen any ads for it.

from the article:

Upon completion of the production of The Kennedys, History has decided not to air the 8-part miniseries on the network,” a rep for the network tells The Hollywood Reporter in a statement. “While the film is produced and acted with the highest quality, after viewing the final product in its totality, we have concluded this dramatic interpretation is not a fit for the History brand.”

so, if it's good, put it on A&E. I was looking forward to seeing it.

I only heard that it's based on a Danish TV series. The Creator & Executive Producer Veena Sud worked on Cold Case for several seasons.

AMC posted a trailer and 1st Look featurette on the show's web page.

http://www.amctv.com/originals/the-killing/

Edit: I just watched the 1st Look featurette about this and apparently it's a serialized 13 episode series that takes place over 13 days in a murder investigation.
