At least in Detroit, 60 Minutes started at 7:26 vs 7:00. Pad accordingly.

well congrats to the winning team. It did look like it came down to the taxi and the ability to do internet search. Hopefully, TAR won't try and rig it with such a lame last leg again.

Congrats to the winning team. But they really need to make these finales more exciting.

And did they really cast a whole bunch of teams from this season to appear next season as well? It seemed like half of this season's teams were in the next season promo.

Actually just 1 the father daughter team.

The season with deaf guy and his mom almost half of the all stars 2 cast is from that season.

Congrats to the winners. The promo seemed to focus on different teams vs the wiki info in the different thread... Hmmm. There an official link anywhere?

They need to have more opportunities for people to pass each other in the final leg. The last few seasons, it seems like the determining factor is who has the best cabbie.

Such an anti-climactic finale.

Why is that I know Nat & Kat, Brooke & Claire, yet have no idea the names of the other 2?

I think my favorite finale was one the first few seasons where they had to go to Alaska and then California I think and one team never even made it to California. I guess it's just a logistical nightmare to make the last leg that challenging.

Finale should be two hours, multiple challenges with a reunion like Survivor. This was just lame. Glad they won but an incredibly boring episode.

I agree with everything you wrote, but I was pulling for Brooke and Claire. They pretty much made the whole season fun, especially once things thinned out a bit.

Definitely don't like just how uneventful the finale was and have been too many times now. I get that it might be difficult to put together, but there has to be a way to make it better than that.

I too didn't understand why they showed people like Brooke and Claire in the promo for next season, but they weren't listed in last week's thread. I certainly would be very happy to see them again and think they were the stand out team of the season, so unless they didn't want to go or just couldn't, they'd be an easy choice to pick, especially since they came in 2nd place as well.

Yeah, I also saw the singers and the Asian dad/son. Unless the leaked list is wrong or incomplete, it's odd to show all those teams like that.

Please don't tell me I have to put up with Brooke and Claire again for the next season. The only way I'll accept it is if they get blasted in the face with a new fruit.

Re: The Amazing Race 17 -- Season Finale -- "Hi. I'm Sorry. I'm in a Race" -- 12/12/1

there is speculation that Claire was pregnant during this next edition.

I also doubt Ron and Tony were "fan favorites" since they lasted all of one episode.
I would perhaps like to see an edition where they brought back the first team eliminated like the Muslim friends or the Yoga instructors, etc.

That last thing I want is a whole season full of teams who were so shitty, they couldn't make it past the first leg.

Oh no, the next season features the deaf kid and his mom. Groan. But at least it'll finally be in High-Def!

Re: The Amazing Race 17 -- Season Finale -- "Hi. I'm Sorry. I'm in a Race" -- 12/12/1

Very happy for Nat and Kat.

While I would agree that the final road block was kind of lame, the last task would have been more eventful if the teams had all been in the room together. In those situations you're more pressured to hurry and make mistakes. Nat and Kat never had to worry b/c they were always alone. We've seen teams panic and screw up that last task and get overtaken before.

Brooke and Claire made the decision to go to an Internet cafe, and Thomas and Jill made the decision to not at least change cabs.

While this wasn't my favorite season of the AR it was hardly my least favorite either.

I can't imagine a reunion would enhance things. For this season, a reunion would just bore me more.

For a show like Survivor where there's a lot of strategy I can see it.
