Awesome episode. Probably one of the best of the entire series.
Poor Col. Broyles. I'm not sure I quite understand how he transported back to our universe looking like a smoked ham. Was it the implant in his wrist that had something to do with it?
Loved Walter's Vagenda line.
And that was so badass that Peter took out the shape shifter without even flinching.
I do have to say that this episode felt very cinematic in production value. It almost felt like you were watching a 42 minute movie.
I'm assuming that we aren't quite done with the Red/Blue arc since Walternate now has that additional part for his doomsday device. Fans of the show better fucking watch it on Friday!!

Not sure about the smoking part. They talked about how equal mass had to be exchanged when bringing alt Olivia back. Replacing the organs they remove with equal mass to even things out. Maybe they used Broyles as the equal mass. Looked kinda like they chopped off an arm and leg because he was too much mass.

Yeah, they hacked off parts of Broyles to make him the same mass as Olivia.

I'm unclear on why Olivia could not stay on this side the first couple times but she can now. Did I miss something?

as for the episode, it was tense as hell. that should've been the fall finale, but i see they are doing one more.
hopefully we see more of the alt-universe next year. would be cool if they kept that plot arc going, if even in the background

Awesome episode, so bummed this is getting put out to pasture in the Friday night death slot. Oh well thankfully there is DVR.

I don't understand why scheduling would matter anymore. I think Fringe fans are more likely to own DVRs than non-Fringe fans. They could put the show on at 3 AM and it wouldn't matter to me.

Because the ratings are still based primarily on how many people are watching the show when it actually airs, and precedent dictates that the show will suffer in that slot and more likely be cancelled.

Did I see Newark Penn Station in the altworld was renamed Springsteen Station??

Besides, Friday isn't such a bad night. Battlestar Galactica did just fine on Friday nights and I was recording more often than I was watching live.

This episode was as good as advertised.
Lance Reddick was great this episode. I especially thought Broyles' reaction to his alt's mangled, smoking corpse was particularly eerie and well done.

Not really, Fringe is a WB show airing on Fox, the only money Fox derives from it is from advertising which doesn't happen so much with DVR devices.
They don't get much, if any, of the DVD/Blu sales and don't care about DVR'ers as much. Plus I don't think they get money for syndication.
The show gets a huge uptick from DVR viewers -- bigger than just about any other show -- so this may be one of the first shows that is actually killed from DVR use.
At least thats the way I see it
