Burt Chance: Guitar Hero. Eat your heart out, Antoine Dodson!

Garrett Dillahunt is fantastic. He better get nominated for an Emmy.

"I'm reading your palm. . . you're going to save 50 cents on a 12-pack of english muffins."

Virginia rubbing Smokey's puff-kiss over her breasts was gold.

I hope so too. Dillahunt has been hilarious in each episode whether he has a lot of screen time or not much screen time. I hate to say this but I have a feeling Dillahunt will get snubbed because of Chris Colfer from Glee. I have never been a huge fan of Colfer and I hated how got a nod in a comedy related category based on dramatic scenes. I hope he doesn't get a nod this year. Dillahunt would be more deserving of supporting actor comedy than Colfer.

I also hope Martha Plimpton gets nominated too.

When I first read the episode synopsis before watching I thought it was going to be a weak episode but I was surprised. I liked how Smokey said that babies were never seen on MTV and Jimmy and Sabrina responded with 16&Pregnant and Teen Mom which is funny because MTV is more about reality shows today than music.

I also laughed at the C-List catalog and how Kimmy Gibbler had an ad to make apperances.

That was pretty genius. They made Jason Lee look like sh!t. Here's hoping they write an episode where Jaime Pressly plays a character who gets to face off with Virginia.

Loved the line from Burt about how TV shows centered around a baby never last more than one season. He's hoping he's wrong.

So where is this show set? It was pretty amorphous like Camden County was in Earl until last night when they used that newscaster they're always getting clips of on The Soup.

I also hope Jaime Pressley guest stars at some point. I have been wondering about the setting too. The newscaster is Steve from Good Day L.A. but I was thinking maybe the show is set somewhere else and Good Day L.A. was showing the clip because it was popular.

Yeah, I loved the My Name Is Earl reference as well. I love how Garcia sort of carried over the way people got hit in the face on Earl to this show. We might be able to assume that this show takes place in a town near Camden, if only because of the news report on the first episode referencing Earl. I guess theoretically that could've been a nationwide story, but given Camden was a pretty small, no-name town, I imagine for that story to run it'd have to be nearby.

My favourite exchange of the episode though was this one:

Jimmy: "Do not kiss me on the lips!"
Burt: "Stop saying stuff that makes me want to!"

And yeah, Dillahunt and Plimpton both deserve to at least be nominated for Emmys, if not win outright.

I searched but couldn't find it. NBC may be in the toilet for ratings, but you have to give it to them--they get the social media thing. If this had been on The Office, it'd be all over the web.

really? NBC pulls everything on the web so how is that getting it? I would think getting it would be letting people freely promote their shows via Social Sites.

For some reason my DirecTV dvr did not record it. I got a message that said not recorded due to a programming update. What is strange is No Ordinary Family recorded at the same time on the other tuner. Any place to watch it now?

I mean "getting it" in terms of the way The Office uses social media. If you see something on the show, it ends up on web video, in new web sites, etc. Yes, most of its closed, but at least it's out there.

You're right though--all the networks really need to step into an open form of new media.

Mine did the exact same thing. It should be available on the Fox site by now...
