:brickwl2: I'll say it again, like most of you. Why the hell aren't more people watching?? Okay....FX is mostly to blame for that. This is probably one of the most unique buddy private eye shows ever created.

I can't believe we only have one more episode of this brilliant show. I can't ever recall being so invested in a show and its stories and its characters in such a short amount of time. I'm going to be so sad when this show doesn't get a second season.

I loved the callback to them swiping all the bearer bonds from Lindus.

I'm glad Hank and Britt sort of put their problems on hold to deal with the case. They could've gone the route of Hank trying to win back his friend the whole episode, but they didn't, and I applaud them for that.

Does anyone think it's possible that Laura Ross is actually one of the bad guys? That somehow this was all an elaborate ruse to get the informant to reveal themselves? I mean, how convenient Jason and the informant end up dead, but she's missing; seems a little odd, why not just kill her too? It's an interesting thought, but I don't really think that's what's going on, if only because the hotel meeting and threatening her mom would have been pointless. Unless of course Zeitlin assumed Hank would be there for the wedding, planned to hold the fake meeting at the same hotel, then when he saw Hank go into the bathroom he followed him inside to have the conversation with his muscle, knowing that if Hank overheard he would take up the case. Seems a bit out there, but it would explain the seemingly huge coincidence of Hank being in the exact right bathroom at the exact right time to overhear a conversation.

I actually can't believe they killed Jason. Really didn't see that coming. I felt really bad for Gretchen, what an awful thing to have happen to you. He actually seemed like a good guy too and was trying to do the right thing, so it sucks to see him meet that fate.

Britt sort of made me laugh this episode a few times. I liked the scene in the laundromat a lot, especially the crumpling of the dollar and him saying he goes to vet school. I can't believe he had sex with her first, then told her. That scene played out pretty funny as well, with Britt just casually mentioning the drop location.

I'm glad they're at least on track to wrap up this land development arc. That final scene was great.

EDIT: I noticed on the preview for next week's episode that they said "On the Season Finale of Terriers" so at least they haven't officially decided not to renew the series. Granted, I've heard networks refer to a to-be-canceled show's last episode as the season finale before, but at this point I'll take whatever glimmer of hope I can get.

This show does a great job of making you not expect the twists (such as the councilman being the snitch). As mentioned above, I like how they don't make a big fuss about britt & hank, you know there will be issues with it down the road, but for now they have shit that needs to be done so they put it on hold.

But are we sure the councilman was the snitch and wasn't instead threatened by Zeitlin to just drop it? I don't recall him ever knowing the location of the meeting?

True, I guess he could have just rolled over. Was it just hank, britt, jason & the blogger chick that new of the new meeting location?

Yeah, as far as we know. We know it wasn't Hank or Britt and we know it wasn't Jason or the informant, and Laura is missing. Look at what I said above, seems possible that she is in cahoots with Zeitlin, but I'm just not sure.

Eh, I'm not sure I'd buy that one, it was a fluke thing he even happened to meet her at the wedding. Plus she'd be the snitch that rats out the person leaking documents back to her? Too circular for my liking.

Whether or not Laura is working with Zeitlin, it is possible that Zeitlin planned to get Hank involved to unknowingly expose the informant. In other words, he picked the exact hotel that he thought Hank would be at, saw Hank enter the bathroom, followed with his muscle, and had the conversation knowing Hank would intervene.

I think you're right though, that Laura probably isn't double-crossing Hank and Britt, but I think it's actually plausible that Zeitlin intentionally got Hank involved.

I was thinking the same thing, but I've resigned myself to the fact that this show will be a one season wonder (and truly a "wonder"). I just hope the Zeitlin arc is wrapped up and the show doesn't end on a cliffhanger. But even if it does, this'll definitely be a DVD purchase for me, if it gets a release.

Ever since I bought it on iTunes a few weeks ago, the theme song has been on constant rotation. Now the composer Rob Duncan has put out more of the shows music (streaming only, unfortunately): http://www.robertduncan.com/terriers/

Wednesday's cable ratings have not been released yet. Probably due to the Holiday.
