Bummer (didn't realize this was the Fall finale). Hopefully it's a good one.

More Julia this episode! She was hardly in last week's episode.

Is it me or was O.P.P. a strange song to close the episode on?

I really liked this episode, except for the family dancing at the end, of course.

Zeke bonding with Drew and calling his dad was a nice touch for the character, and Nelson's interactions with Andrew were really touching.

I can't say I love this show (although my wife does), but I like Craig T. Nelson and Peter Krauss (sp?) the most. The women are all kind of irritating... except the grandmother.

That said, this episode was pretty good. It had some good laugh-out-loud moments.

The one daughter (Hattie is it?) totally has a Rocky Dennis thing going on.

Every show I watch has become a Bing/Microsoft commercial.

I think it is the glasses. Ever since she started wearing them she went from Egg to Bland.

Pretty good episode. I really liked the interactions between Zeke and Drew. They were probably the best thing about the episode, especially Zeke's obvious hypothetical and Zeke calling Drew's dad.

I also got a kick out of all the insults going back and forth between Crosby and Joel. I sort of felt bad for Julia. I mean, Max has to have things a certain way and for another kid to see that, it's bound to seem unfair. And then Julia can't really explain it other than to say "Because I said so" or "Don't worry about Max," so I can see where she got frustrated.

Sarah is still my least favourite character. I hate when people bring fly-by-night flings to family celebrations. It's one thing to have relatives or good friends, but someone you've only been dating for a little while and then add the work dynamic on top of it...seems like a bad move. Oh well, at least Adam's boss looks to be out of the picture; I don't really like any of the Baldwins and his character was beyond annoying. My only complaint is that the entire storyline with him felt so forced. I mean, you establish Adam as a small business owner with no boss. Then, you change it and make him an employee with a boss. This is done solely for the purpose of adding drama and providing Sarah with a love-interest. Only, by mid-season the love interest angle is gone (not to mention it felt so forced to begin with) and we're again not sure exactly what's going to happen with his business. I don't know...in a strong show all of that drama felt entirely out of place.

Haddie is closing in on Sarah for my least favourite character though. Ditching your family on Thanksgiving is bad enough, but to then use charity as a guise to go see your boyfriend or whatever? Seems a little underhanded to me. Additionally, her interest in helping others is itself entirely fabricated. She never really cared and it was all because of a boy and him judging her that she even bothered to try harder. The writers aren't really doing a good job making me respect her as a person.

I loved Crosby at the end summing up everything that happened during the episode and then bragging about him coming out on top. But yeah, what was with having OPP play at the end? What a strange music choice for the end of a Thanksgiving episode.

She's not a person. She's a teenager. And the writers have done a great job of convincing me of that.

Agreed. It is pretty convincing for a teenage girl to forego family or friends for a boy.

I thought it was weird too - this from Wiki

"The title is an acronym for "other people's pussy"; when the song asks if the listener is "down with O.P.P.", it's asking if he/she is willing to have sexual relations with a person who is known to already have a significant other. Lead rapper Treach coyly obscures the meaning of the second "P" (which is meant to refer to either "pussy" or "penis") using euphemisms throughout the song saying – instead of pussy – that it is "another way to call a cat a kitten" or – instead of penis – a "five-letter word rhyming with cleanest or meanest." In the lyrics following, the rap defines the second "P" as "property" to "do it sorta properly."
