I LOVED Timothy Dalton's role (before the big reveal); that was perfectly played!

Quite the circuitous episode; I'm interested in seeing what happens(happened) to Chuck after his mom's interface. With the ending, though, there's hope, even if things look dire.

I thought the episode was pretty good, but the budget, or lack thereof, is pretty stifling. The effects when falling from the plane and the explosion were anything but special. It doesn't detract from the rest of the episode, but seems like something they really could fix without too much effort. (Then again, it happens on quite a few other shows so maybe not.)

Dalton and his bad British teeth were awesome, though I thought it was obvious that he was up to something nefarious.

This was preempted for a local news election special.

I agree about Dalton, he was great.

Now that they've finally brought Chuck's mom out and involved her fully in the story instead of her being some shadowy figure in the background, the show has really picked up.

Just caught the show online. Not as good as watching live on the big screen but was a good episode. Agree the effects are getting worse. A little too much head spinning for me; she's good, she's bad, she's good, she's bad again.

I thought this episode was great! The plane jump scene wasn't too bad, but the house explosion was pretty bad. They should have just cut to them jumping without trying to put them in front of the house in the background. Speaking of, guess Chuck and Sarah won't be moving in anytime soon!!

Regardless, this had such a season 2 feel. I knew something was off with Dalton, but wasn't sure what. I felt he was a little too bumbly and they got out of their situation a little easy. Plus moving around at the bank was pretty easy too.

So now, what did Papa B have that Volkov was/is afraid of?

Very nice of Bakula to do the voice work. Still miss him. :(

The scene where Morgan was hiding behind the door was awesome.

And him putting his hand on Sarah's chest

I didnt see many wrinkles on Linda Hamltons face ....

It was a great episode, and I loved having Bakula's voice over.

Finally saw this, and loved this episode. I agree that now that his mom is out there the episodes are really picking up. Loved the teamwork fight with Chuck and Sarah, and loved Dalton's character. He's perfect.

Any guesses on what the fancy electronics are in the Mustang?

Yeah, just got caught up on the last 2 eps, and they have really turned the season around... Not that I think it was horrible, but not up to par as the other seasons. One thing I can say for Chuck, they have always known how to cast guest stars, and these 2 episodes have really brought me back as to why I love the show and will be sad when it finally does go.

The way I put it to a friend is that this season is good, it just hasn't captured that watercooler feel of the first couple seasons. This episode and the last made inroads into capturing the magic again.

Loved it. I'm in the camp that Mom B is one of the good guys. She emphasized that she told Volkof about her husband only. Not about being a mother which she admitted to Chuck is what she was most afraid of. And I'm guessing the PSP light show was Orion's way of downloading all his research to the Intersect on the off chance that they found his base and decided to torch it. Just curious how Frost knew about it.

Agreed. I think Frost has shown that she IS really trying to bring down Volkof, she's just really entangled in his operation. The fact that she didn't tell him about the rest of her family and gave Sarah the means to escape is enough for me.

Yeah, I think the car will end up playing into how Chuck gets his "powers" back. And I'm not sure Frost knew that the car was special. I think she was mentioning that car as a nice memory, and it triggered the fact that the car was a real car for Ellie. The bigger question is WHO is putting the ad into the paper about that car since Orion died. Unless he set it up to just keep running until Ellie or Chuck came and got the car.

Loved the Orion voiceover, I miss Papa Bartowski! And loved Timothy Dalton as the bumbling handler. Lots of good stuff this week!
