The Good Wife -- "VIP Treatment" -- 10/26/10
By djariya at 2010-09-28
Synopsis:
Spoiler:
Written by Robert and Michelle King
Directed by Michael Zinberg
Why doesn't Chris Noth just join this show as a series regular? He's in almost every episode.
Looking forward to this one, especially coming off of last week.

wow, another great episode ... not really focused on Alicia but really powerful stuff/dilemma. This show is clicking on all cylinders.

Really good episode tonight. I liked that it took place literally moments after the last episode aired. The case was really compelling and it was cool that it took place over the course of a 4 hour time period. I was a little surprised to see the woman not go through with it at the end, but in the end I assume she didn't want the press to pry into her life and deal with the humiliation that Alicia dealt with. The thing I didn't get was why Blake had to vandalize her apartment while doing his investigation?
Interesting guest apperance by Fred Weller from In Plain Sight. Seemed to me he was playing the exact same character as IPS. Loved the scene where he was antagonizing Will and they got into a fist fight.
I would really like them to re-visit this case in a future episode. Would love them to cast a recognizable actor to play the character if they re-visit this and have it go to trial.

I didn't like this episode at all. It just seemed like a waste, they didn't give us enough info about the victim to care about her (either to like or dislike her).
Nitpick - every discussion she had with the lawyers was privileged and confidential; that privilege doesn't kick in when a client signs a document retaining the lawyer, it kicks in as soon as you start divulging confidential info to a lawyer for the purposes of seeking legal counsel.

What I didn't get about that scene was why Blake felt the need to vandalize her apartment while doing his investigation for Diane.

They only had 4 hours to decide whether or not to take the case and I believe that was the whole point of Kalinda and Blake's short investigation. Blake got a little background about her and Kalinda investigated the validity of the assault charge. With such a short timeframe, it was understandable to not have much information about the woman.

Another strong episode
Yeah, it felt to me like only the start of the story.

Natalie Knepp--don't know her. Looks like Old Friends was her only regular role. Otherwise it's been one-shots playing characters called "Gown Girl" and "Porn Dress Girl."

I think this sets up to come back later and haunt them.
It could be inferred with the news cycle that Peter put pressure on Alicia to have her firm drop the case.
I don't like how Corey or what's his face knew about the other masseuse, and sent them the case
