So far this season has been so much better than the last. Looking forward to tonight's episode. I wish this show would get a set end-date though so they could figure out the timing and have a good resolution.

I don't think you need to spoiler that. I didn't take Ted saying "I wondered if I'd see her again" and then saying "Yes, I would" or whatever it was as indicating she ends up being the mother. He wondered, then she showed up at his house to picket him and throw eggs, and that probably wasn't going to be the only time she did it.
Plus, I think his future wife was in the one class he accidentally taught the one day might also be what's her name's roommate.

Pretty weak episode last night. I got the biggest chuckle during the locker room scene at the very end (not saying much).

But why? She's likely not a character we've even seen thus far. The show is called How I Met Your Mother. It's about the journey, not the destination. I think it would be a mistake to introduce the mother prior to the series finale.
