I voted for Tatonka because I hate her.

That will be my motivation for tuning in from here on out. I have to be watching when she gets a well-deserved boot.

If I was Kelly, I would have smacked the shit out of Tatanka by now

Bye to the dumbass loudmouth. I think that's the first time I was correct in the poll in the last 2 seasons.

Tatanka now has access to knives. That would definitely concern me if I was on that tribe.

Jimmy T. was annoying but that was still stupid. Dan was obviously weaker.

This season has been really boring to me so far. The cast this year is pretty blah besides Tatanka who I cant stand.
Challenges been pretty weak as well.

Finally. I was tired of him talking about being a leader where he was from. Being a leader for the underground mole people doesn't count for much.

So glad Jimmy T is gone. Next, that ghetto bitch need to go.

The old tribe must be delusional thinking they were even close in that challenge.

Loving this season so far.

Luckily for Kelly B and her friend and probably the old people to a shuffle is next week.

It will be interesting to see the dynamics of the new tribes and if they are setting up Marty for a fall or if he become a real power player this game.

Hopefully this will the last time we see "old versus young". No offense to the oldsters (hell, if I was playing I'd be in that tribe), but youth is a big advantage during these physical contests. And seeing 2 teams competing that aren't on equal footing isn't fun.

The Medallion of Power was poorly implemented as well. It should've been a one-time thing. That would've made the decision between reward or Medallion carry some weight. But I don't like it just going to the other tribe when used. The advantages the Medallion gives are enormous. And again ... unfair challenges aren't fun to watch for me.

It looks like both of those things aren't factors starting next week, so I'm hopeful the season takes a turn for the better.

It will be interesting to hear/know if this was the original intentions (to switch from the old/young) or if it was a decision that came about because the tribes were becoming more and more lopsided as the game went on.

The challenges they lost

Throw beanie bags on a barrell challenge

Guide water through narrow paths and then complete a puzzle

Follow instructions and pick up items while blindfolded

They purposely avoided the kind of physically intense head to challenges the show has had the last couple seasons to give the start attraction JJ and the old people a reasonable chance to win every challenge.

In the end being quicker and stronger was not the reason the young tribe won most of the challenges.

The challenges weren't as physically demanding as previous ones. But in every one, there's still a physical element - hand-eye coordination, balance, endurance, speed. And all those things generally aren't as good in 40+ year olds as they are in 20-somethings. It's just unavoidable.

Not one of the better seasons so far IMO. I guess it's because Marty is getting the major face time and I just don't find him at all likeable. No one has impressed me out there yet. Even so, a weak Survivor season is still good TV (except for Thailand). Usually the villains on the show are entertaining, but not this time. Lots of things can change though in Survivor and a season can turn around quickly.

I rarely judge Survivor in the first 5-6 episodes because it's usually pretty nondescript at the start.
