This season has been a dud thus far, imo. Hopefully that changes tonight.

I've liked the season so far, but they need to go ahead and get the son back already and start on a different storyline.

I feel bad for the Dish subscribers who can no longer watch this show. Hope the ratings dip isn't too bad.

Don't know if this has been discussed, but did the actress who plays Agent Stahl have plastic surgery? Her face has looked, for lack of a better word, more "plump" this season.

Well, I guess we have our new storyline.

The Irish woman better not be Jax's mom. There's already enough ridiculous shit going on this season to throw that at us too.

Yeah, since Able seems to have the same heart problems Gemma and her mom had, I'm guessing there's about a 0% chance they aren't related.

Abel's issues were caused by his extreme prematurity. (much like 95% of us here at dvdtalk)

Good episode last night (best of the season, imo). Curious to see how Jax' new partnership turns out.

I considered the Jax is not Gemma's kid angle a couple weeks back. It would be cheap and soapish, so I really hope they don't go there. At the same time, I think the big Irish secret has to be more than just Jax having a half-sister. I'm just not sure what it is yet.

As I said before, they can't do this. They've already established that Gemma, Jax, Jax's brother, and Abel all have the same genetic heart disorder. There's no way that Jax isn't Gemma's kid.

I don't want them to do it, but I think they can backtrack on that pretty easily. We know Jax has no scar of the nature that Gemma and Abel have. Gemma, a known liar, lied when she told Jax he had the condition, and she lied again when his son had an unrelated heart condition. Dumb, but probably doable.

Re: Sons of Anarchy -- "Turning and Turning" -- 10/05/10
Based on my recollection of the Irish scenes, I don't see how Jax can be the woman's son. The people in Ireland have never referred to Jax by name. They call him "John Teller's son" and the baby is "John Teller's grandson". I think if he was a direct descendant, they would use his name. Or the woman would at least show some affection when talking about him.
And futhermore, if she's Jax's birth-mother, Abel would be the Irish woman's grandson. I don't think the priest would take the baby away from his blood grandmother and give it to strangers. |

Re: Sons of Anarchy -- "Turning and Turning" -- 10/05/10
Agree they need to get that kid back already and that the new deal at the end is a good way to spring things forward. Stahl does need to go down, big time.
Question: Why wouldn't Gemma get a lawyer and go to trial on the murder charge? Stahl, the one who lied and framed her, is instead trying to squeeze her for more. With a jury would be inclined to a trust an FBI agent more than Gemma, I am certain even the threat of going to trial would get Gemma a much better deal... |
Re: Sons of Anarchy -- "Turning and Turning" -- 10/05/10
Of course a jury would trust a FBI agent more. I don't think Gemma would come off as a sympathetic defendant at all. And her prints are on the gun. If the FBI wants to really fuck you, they pretty much can.
