Synopsis for "In the Red"

Spoiler:
Lightman goes to great lengths to prevent a man fueled by revenge from robbing a bank. In the process, Lightman sets to right a wrong by holding a guilty man accountable for his actions.

13 episode season as of right now. I would say the chances of a full 22 episode season are slim since FOX doesn't have much timeslots available midseason.

Mekhi Phifer, who played Ben, is no longer on the show.

It's going to be interesting to see how this does after House since it was a last minute replacement and got very little promotion.

Barely finished the season 2 finale a week or so ago, very meh way to end that season and to leave Ben's characters condition in question.

Also, Alexander Cary and David Graziano, who were writers & producers last season, are the new showrunners replacing Shawn Ryan.

13 episodes for Season 3 only? Wow. Thought this got the full 22.

Torn that FOX canceled Lone Star. On the one hand, it showed a lot of potential. On the other, the season premiere of Lie to Me was bumped up a month.

Looking forward to it.

This and Human Target only got 13 episode orders, mainly because of the limited timeslots. Ride-Along is tentatively slated to replace Lie to Me in either mid-January or early February.

Yeah lone star did have some potential in it. I did really like the premise. Lie to me is great i don't see how this won't be it's last season though, with how they seperated last season and now surprise season 3. I love this show but fox keeps dicking with it.

The thing that was funny about season 2 is FOX ordered the back 9 when they had no room for it. That's why the last half of the season ended up being pushed back to Summer. And now season 2 barely ended 1 month ago. It's going to be interesting to see what FOX does with this show even if the ratings are good and warrant the back 9.

Renew it and stick it on Friday. Good Guys is toast and I doubt Ride Along or Human Target will last.

 Do you even watch Lie to Me? I thought you despised procedurals like this since they according to you at one point are only for old people?

And I think Ride-Along will do fine. It's a Cop show based and filmed in Chicago with a good cast (name actors unlike Lonestar or My Generation) and it's from the creator of The Shield.

Lie to Me actually did okay considering it was a last minute replacement with very little promotion.

about 6M viewers and 2.2 in the demos. That was pretty equal to what it was getting in the summer.

Alright so I watched this episode tonight. It was good, but a little odd. The tone of it felt more like a Cop drama than an episode of Lie to Me that focuses on the science of Lie detection.

They pretty much made Ben an afterthought as Cal revealed he terminated his relationship with the FBI and there was no update to Ben's condition.

I know Cal does some crazy shit in this show, but going on an unofficial undercover operation with a group of crazy & dangerous bank robbers should be a job for the Police, not a cranky scientist like him. I also sensed a little hostility with him and Gillian.

Either way, a lot better numbers than Lone Star was getting. Can't say I blame FOX for making this move.

We actually enjoyed the change of pace. Cal gave that guy every chance to give up. Bummer.

I just the latest episode (Double Blind) with Tricia Helfer. Normally she has the ability to brighten any show in which she makes a guest appearance. However, I've found the quality of Lie to Me has gone down this season with the darker tone.

The writers have gone over-the-top with the British slang they've given to Cal ('ello, luv). He seems like a complete @$$ to Gillian as of late for no reason because he "created the Lightman Group." I can't blame Loker for wanting to quit.

I have to agree that Cal has been kind of a dick this season. The last couple of episodes I saw, he treated Gillian like shit. I find that a little funny since towards the end of last season they kind of hinted that he was smitten with her somewhat after she dated that Cop/Psychologist.
