Synopsis:

Spoiler:
When Alice (guest star Amy Irving), the author of a popular children's book series, inexplicably suffers from a seizure moments before an attempt to take her own life, the Princeton Plansboro team faces the challenges of evaluating both her underlying medical conditions, as well as her unstable psychological state. Unable to diagnose Alice, House becomes particularly motivated, as he's a fan of her books, and is convinced that the key to unlocking the mysteries of Alice's condition lies in the pages of her most recent novel. Meanwhile, House takes Cuddy on a double date with Wilson and his girlfriend, Sam (guest star Cynthia Watros), and makes a discovery that proves that life imitates art as the couple continues to make compromises in order to make their relationship work.

Not related to this episode, but Amber Tamblyn (last seen on TV in The Unusuals) who is filling in for Olivia Wilde will be introduced in episode 6

The dirty birdie comment made me laugh. Nice little Misery reference there. Was hard to care about the patient though, what with her being a complete bitch and all...

The Huddy stuff was kept to a minimum so the episode flowed a little bit better. I thought the case was interesting, and was expecting House to read the ribbon and find out that she was just typing gibberish - thus giving him the clue to solve the mystery.

Just catching up... enjoyed the heck out of the go kart race. I liked this episode a lot, I'm actually happy with the House/Cuddy relationship so far.

Thanks for putting that in spoilers (I know a lot of people probably appreciated that). You can look two posts above yours at an unspoilered ( ) post for the answer you want.
