Good to see Ming back on top. It cracks me up that the judges are trying to paint him as some old fossil with his technique and plating. I really wish that they dumped Donatella as a judge.

Yeah, Tsai really shined this week... and Canora turned into a pompous a--hole. Does he think he's on Survivor?

Re: "The Next Iron Chef" Discussion Thread (Season 3; Begins 10/03/10)

I'm enjoying this show more than the last series of Top Chef and it's way better than Top Chef Just Desserts

I like Alto Brown. I just hate seeing Mark Dascasos, one of the best on screen Martial artists, waste his talent on this show even though he does a good job as the chairmen

She's not bad to look at, but she really needs to get over herself. A lot of people criticize Steingarten, but I think she's a lot worse.

She's a delicate flower that can't stomach any kind of spice and always seems to choke on an inedible garnish.

With the current U-verse v. Scripps battle looming, I will not be able to see this episode.

But I'll still continue the thread tomorrow.

Didn't know Ming was on this. I've always been a fan of his shows. Have to think it's his to win, I hope at least.

Does anyone know who does Morimoto's voice over on Iron Chef America? A friend thought it was someone from Next Iron Chef, but isn't sure. Any thoughts?

A quick Google search reveals the voice as Joe Cipriano. I have no idea who he is.

Suprised Forgione made it. I do like him, but this should be Canora's to win.

When they started showing Tsai's "confessionals" with him expressing confidence that he would win, I knew he was a goner. The editors must have watched Chopped.

I'm also thinking Canora will win.

The final show down is tonight... and I've got my bro-in-law's wedding stuff to attend this evening, so I'll miss this. I'll pretty this post later tonight for posterity's sake.

Im putting my money behind Forgione. This contest always seems to go to the underdog.

Based on the Judges reactions, I think forgione won pretty much every round of the 5 course meal

Glad to see Forgione won. I would've been happy with either guy (actually would have preferred to have seen Caswell in there), but Forgione clearly had the better looking food and seemed to have the judges raving about taste.
