Every episode is good for 2-3 times where I laugh so hard I start crying because its so funny.
Was this a big hit when it was on HBO, or does it have sort of a cult audience? Once I found it and started telling my friends and co-workers about it, they are all hooked and love it.

wasn't a huge hit. probably got a million or so viewers for each episode. definitely a cult following and HBO loved it so much, they kept bringing it back.
