VH1 picked up the syndication rights but most of the shows will be from 2006 and the mid 2000's.

Too bad none of these networks can get a hold of the original 90 minute versions. Wonder if these will be in HD though being from the 2000s

I was actually hyped when I read this thread hoping for some classic episodes from the Belushi, Eddie Murphy or Dana Carvey days. Instead we get the awful years of the 2000's when it was Saturday Night Dead to me.

Saturday Night Live In The 2000's Time And Again



Comedy Central edited out sketches to keep the musical guests in each hour long version.

Hopefully VH1 will edited out the musical guests to keep more sketches.

VH1 will definitely keep the music acts in. That always bugged me about the repeats on Comedy Central and E!. I'd rather see more skits.

I don't have cable right now so I couldn't watch these anyway but I wouldn't if given the chance. I'd rather have the uncut classic episodes.

I checked the TIVO guide and VH1 will show repeats from 1999 and 1998.

There seemed to be a lot of 1999 shows back to back.


What if they run entire seasons of shows?

Yeah they appear to be running Season 24 (1998-1999) in order starting October 4th. Curiously though, they skipped the Jennifer Love Hewitt/Beastie Boys show

Just an update on this as I have been viewing some episodes I recorded...VH1 has been applying some horrible speed alterations to the episodes and even cutting out more than the E! versions. Check out this small example clip to see what I mean. Ridiculous, who do we complain to about this?
