Synopsis:

Spoiler:
In the third-season opener, the CBI is tasked with finding a prominent lawyer who was kidnapped, but Jane questions his future with the team following his encounter with Red John.

Almost forgot about Patrick Jane and company.

Good Christ! I think it's going to take 2 days to get through Thursday stuff alone.

I also forgot about this series - somewhere last season it went from fresh/new/brilliant to meh. I hope it gets back to where it started, which was really excellent procedural stuff.

I haven't seen the new episode yet - how was it?

The whole sheepdip comment between Lisbon and Jane cracked me up.

yeah pretty much.. All the eps sort of seem the same now with a little false this or that "trap" Patrick Jane set and the dumb criminal walks right into it. I still really like the cast and tend to enjoy the show but it could be better..

IMO outside of the pure red john eps one could scramble the last two seasons and watching the eps in random order and it would not really matter too much. Then again I think CBS sort of banks on their shows fallowing a set formula over and over.

only thing that showed this was a season premier is that they clearly traveled up to Sacramento to shoot some of the local stuff like the Tower Bridge and the capital.

True, but I like the two leads. And its nice to see Patrick make his puppets dance (anyone remember the episode where Patrick goes to jail?)

I've watched so many cop shows that the strories have started to repeat themselves. I watch the Mentalist for the funnies.

Also, you girls have to see Simon Bakers interview on Ellen where she shows an old clip of him in a music video

I think this one is on its way out for me. I really have no interest in watching the DVR'd season premiere.

Does Simon Baker need to come out with a semi automatic rifle next week and crash his car to keep you interested?

Edit: But, yeah I understand there is alot of shit on and you can't watch everything, especially a whimsical procedural like this....I still like it though.

They need to give Chow more stuff. I love that character. Hate van pelt. Righetti just comes off as so fake.

Last night's episode made me laugh again.

Trixie asks Lisbon if she's Patrick's friend. Lisbon says Jane was here? Trixie says he's a man and his name is Patrick. The looks were priceless.

That was great.
I still like this show. The humor sprinkled into this procedural makes worthwhile and as somebody said, I also enjoy the two leads.

Next week is a Red John episode.

Yeah, the humor makes it one of my favorite shows

Agent Chow is also great.

Anyone remember when Patrick tried to smash a diamond, and Chow said "of course" when he was told that...and then later Patrick slipping in the diamond in Van Pelt's coat...
