Synopsis:

Spoiler:
In the third-season premiere, Olivia struggles to free herself from the alternate universe, while her auburn-haired counterpart Bolivia (according to the idiots at closed captioning) works alongside the oblivious Peter and Walter.

 Cannot freaking wait for Fringe! This will be the 1st watch Thursday night.

Thursday is such a packed night for me. Something has to fall off and not get DVR'd, and right now it looks like it'll be Bones and Fringe.

Which means I'll be watching them live on my tuner! Fringe is my most anticipated returning show, as the show was firing on all cylinders as the season closed. Can't wait to see where they take the show this year.

It's going to be hard to top last year, but I hope they can get at least close.

Wish she would keep the auburn hair. I'm loving it.

My girlfriend had to make that difficult choice too. We BOTH watch Fringe. She's watched Grey's since the beginning and she's a huge Nikita fan (movie, older series..)

Anyway, Nikita lost out on the DVR decision. Terrible time slot...she's really bummend. We both kinda dug the new Nikita.

Yeah the Nikita timespot + no repeat = stupid as hell

Good premiere tonight. I love the small touches they put on the alternate universe. "Dogs" I half-expected them to have the steering wheel on the other side of the car (although I can imagine that would be quite costly to facilitate).

Glad Peter and Walter finally made an appearance near the end of the episode.

I didn't get the ending...can anyone explain? Isn't Peter on the "other" side stuck with Olivia?

Peter is in our world (as witnessed by the shot with the blimp and then it disappearing and cutting to Peter giving his statement/testimony)and is with alternate Olivia. When he went to go kiss her, alternate Olivia seems to still have feelings for her boyfriend in her universe and is hesitant to go along with faking a romantic relationship with Peter. I liked it a lot, I wonder if it'll be the real Olivia somehow remembering who she really is again, or alternate Olivia wanting to go back to her world/boyfriend that will eventually put things right.

Did anyone else notice the sign advertising flights to the moon? It sort of reminded me of the book The Man In the High Castle which is an alternate history book in which the Axis powers won WW2. At one point it's mentioned in the book that there are commercial flights to the moon and inner planets but they don't have things we take for granted like television. Makes me wonder what little things from our universe don't exist in the alternate one.

I'm still in love with the fact that the Alt world is so much more technologically advanced, but are the ones that can't figure out how to jump between universes. :)

Maybe half a season.

It's great to see the show hasn't missed a beat. What a great opener to the season.

Also, it's not that the other side is technologically advanced, it's more that it's far advanced in some areas, and less advanced in others. They have blimps and there was the guy in the park on one of those ancient bicycles.

That's why I'm glad we're getting to see more of it this season.

This show is entertaining every single second. One of the smartest shows on television in my opinion.

I loved when they filled up the the theater with the same shit they used on the Bus in our world in S1.
