Synopsis:

Spoiler:
The series premiere of a comedy about a wealthy playboy, Steve (Will Arnett), who tries to woo his childhood sweetheart, Emmy (Keri Russell), now a single mom and a devoted humanitarian. In the opener, Emmy tries to get Steve to support her latest cause when she attends a party held in his honor.

Starring:
Will Arnett (Arrested Development)
Keri Russell (Felicity)

The show was co-created by Will Arnett, Jim Valley and Mitchell Hurwitz (all worked on Arrested Development) and are Executive Producers on the show.

Not a huge fan of Arnett, but I really like Keri Russell, so I will watch this.

I'll probably tune in as well. Curious to see if Hurwitz can recapture any of the magic from AD.

I'll always give the AD crew a chance. I'm in for the pilot.

Agree with the above sentiments. The fact that it's the AD crew + Keri Russell caught my attention, and I enjoyed the promos. I'll b e watching.

It's Arnett and it's from the AD crew, so I'll be watching.

Unfortunately, the ads for the show look awful.

The 1st promo from FOX's upfronts made this look like a cheesy romantic comedy.

You mean the ad where Keri Russell and Will Arnett talked about how it wasn't AD, and the one where Will was trying to "get to know" Keri better?

I thought those were hilarious.

Of course, neither of those showed actual scenes from the show...

They were talking about this on NPR this morning and were saying that it was cheesy bad and needed massive reshoots and that the cast is not confident in it at all, but are hoping folks give it a chance.

I personally can't stand Will Arnett, so it's a miss for me anyways.

No, the one where Arnett says something about how she needs to shave her legs.

I haven't seen the one you describe.

Haven't seen that one. Here's one of the two I saw. I can't find the one where they talk about AD.

I will definitely watch the show, and I'll stick with it for as long as FOX is willing to keep it on the air. There is no way it can touch AD, so I'm going to try not to compare it too much, but it's going to be hard not to.

I'm giving it a chance but I don't have the highest of hopes for this one. I mean it could be good given the pedigree. Even if it is good it doesn't seem like something that will appeal to enough people and stick around.

Ugh. That was awful. I couldn't find even one thing I enjoyed about the episode, other than seeing Keri Russell. I'll stick around for next week just because I like some of the talent involved and I always give a show a chance beyond the pilot, but it was really just dreadful.

The narration of the little girl is terrible, neither of the leads are any good (and I usually like both of them), and the supporting cast is cliched and forgettable.

It's a real shame I didn't like this show and will probably drop it after next week, because Tuesday is filled with great shows (Glee, Raising Hope, and Sons Of Anarchy) and it would've been a nice 3 hour block of television.

The show looked all the worse having followed the outstanding premiere of Raising Hope. I dunno, this show doesn't seem like it will be on the air for long. I wonder how it did ratings wise.

Did anyone actually like it?

I thought this was pretty good. It paled in comparison after Raising Hope, though.

Re: Running Wilde -- New Series -- "Pilot" -- 09/21/10

Hmm...I enjoyed some of the jokes, but overall it seemed very uneven and there were way too many moments between jokes.

I'm very sad to say I thought the weakest part of this show is Keri Russell. I REALLY like her, but in this she's awkward and there's just no chemistry there...which is odd since I thought the chemistry between her and Will was great in the promos.

I'll keep watching, but I doubt this will last long. :( Good news is, maybe this'll free up more time for to finish the AD movie script. :P

I liked it enough to give it a few more weeks.

So it's Gob being Gob but with no "good guy" to bounce off of? Well I guess now there is with Keri Russell and therein lies the plot....

I thought it was just ok. I'll stick with it for a bit but it's got a long way to go and I don't like it's chances. I'm very happy for Raising Hope that their timeslots weren't reversed. I think this would've chased off that entire Glee crowd for sure.

Yeah, thankfully Raising Hope gets a good lead-in from Glee instead of following the trash that was Running Wilde. Raising Hope wouldn't stand a chance if it followed Running Wilde.

I'll be interested to see the ratings for the three shows from tonight and next week. I imagine Glee will have consistently high numbers; Raising Hope will have decent numbers both weeks, although not nearly as high as Glee; and Running Wilde will have a sharp drop off from this week to the next.

Agree with this... I think people were expecting AD pt. 2 and thats just not happening. This one will have to slowly build up, but don't think it will get much of a chance though.

Gotta root for something that would allow me to see Keri Russell every week.

I wasn't expecting Arrested Development Part 2 at all and was still extremely disappointed.
