Synopsis:

Spoiler:
In the sixth-season opener, Ted runs into Cindy (Rachel Bilson), whom he dated briefly--and who is also the roommate of his future wife; Robin is having a difficult time getting over Don; and Marshall can't stop talking about starting a family.

I don't watch this show, but did alot of the threads late last season after LorenzoL went MIA and since he's still MIA, I will start this since there are some fans here.

^^ I found the above music video awful, yet hilarious and I don't even know who Ted is.

From what I understand, the show-runners recognize the misstep this show took last season (agreed) and plan to 'right the ship' with a new creative approach this season. Am cautiously optimistic.

This one episode was better than the entirety of last season.

Re: How I Met Your Mother -- Season Premiere -- "Big Days" -- 09/20/10

Really good start to the season.. Reminded me why I like the show so much.. It had gotten a little angst driven last season, here or there.. Where as this ep was just funny.

I hope they stay on this path..

Randomness but it was a little strange to see the girl from Nikita (Lyndsy Fonseca) back on the sofa as one of the kid he is talking too. It's almost like Nikita could BE her life being we don't really know anything about the kids he is talking too.

Errr and ya know might as well mention this here, would not mind a Rachel Bilson and Kaylee DeFer spin off show!!!

Scuzzy Robin was still pretty hot.

I loved when Ted told Barney to turn casually to look at the girl, and he spun around like it was a car crash.

And yes, the dibs were indeed implied.

I've never gotten into this show for one reason. Josh Radnor is one of the most unlikeable & annoying leads.

NPH and the guy from Sarah Marshall are great, but Radnor is simply awful.

I think seeing Chris Kattan do Josh Radnor finally let me forgive the show for that horrid casting/premise decision and like the show for what's good (Barney and Marshall).

What a great start to the season. Not only a great stand alone episode, but advancement in the overall storyline.

Interesting. Maybe I will give it a few weeks of online viewing ("House" and "Chuck" have the Tivo priority) before I decide to bail on it.

Re: How I Met Your Mother -- Season Premiere -- "Big Days" -- 09/20/10

If the wedding is the series finale of the show then I'm ok with it being Robin and Barney's with Ted meeting his future wife at the wedding.

But if it's Barney and Robin's wedding and they still plan on doing a season after it then count me out. Barney with a ring on his finger would be an absolute travesty.

I think it'll be his dad getting re-married. He doesn't seem to have many other friends outside the group that I can think of and no brother.

That's a good theory, but Lily seemed to obviously be in a bridesmaid dress. I think it'll be Barney's wedding, but I would be surprised if he marries Robin.

Re: How I Met Your Mother -- Season Premiere -- "Big Days" -- 09/20/10

Could be Robin's wedding too. I can't decide if I think Barney should get married or stay the "crazy bachelor". I go back and forth.

Lots of LOL moments this week. Great job by most of the cast. Agree that Ted is by far the weakest link on this show.

Yeah and I just noticed that Marshall was wearing a tux too.

Damn I hope Barney isn't getting married at the end of this season.

Re: How I Met Your Mother -- Season Premiere -- "Big Days" -- 09/20/10

The sign outside the church said "For every thing there is a season." Which is what Barney used for one of his limericks about the sun dresses. I'd say that's definitely a hint at it being Barney's wedding.

I like the show but it's like an endless prick tease from a very hot woman. Lot's of good stuff going on but never a pay out.

Agree with everyone else. Much better than all of last season, which is promising.

$20 for dibs.

Holy crap... 22 posts before a mention? I'm with Marshall, I couldn't concentrate with her in that shirt.

Re: How I Met Your Mother -- Season Premiere -- "Big Days" -- 09/20/10

Something about this show just isn't right or clicking with me anymore. It feels like a season 6 -> season 7 of Friends all over again where the chemistry isn't what it used to be and the storyline(s) just feels too forced.

Hope it gets better.

And it took 22 posts in this thread to mention the best part of the episode. WTF is wrong with you people. Ha someone beat me to it.

Whats crazy is I had that fresh in my mind still and an old rerun was on with her in a shirt. Man having a baby did wonders for her WOO HOO.
