Synopsis:

Spoiler:
Robert/Bob Allen (James Wolk) is a charismatic and brilliant schemer who has meticulously constructed two lives in two different parts of Texas. As "Bob," he lives in Houston and is married to Cat, the beautiful daughter of Clint, the patriarch of an ultra-wealthy Texas oil family. More than 400 miles away in the suburban west Texas town of Midland, he's "Robert," living a second life with his sweet, naïve girlfriend, Lindsay. There he plays the perfect boyfriend while secretly bilking local investors of their savings. While in Houston, he's a devoted husband, charming Cat and her family to cement his position in the rich family business he aims to clean out. Now caught between a father-in-law who wants to hand him the company business and a father who wants him to take it all, Bob has to weigh the risks and make a choice.

Starring:

James Wolk (1st starring role)
Adrianne Palicki (Friday Night Lights)
Eloise Mumford
Jon Voight
David Keith

The Pilot was written by Kyle Killen, who also created the show
Directed by Marc Webb (500 Days of Summer)

The Producers are Amy Lippman and Chris Keyser, who created Party of Five.

This has an interesting premise and I like that FOX had the guts to cast an unknown as the lead.

I'll check it out.

This shows smells like DOA to me, but let's see if the powerHouse lead-in helps with the ratings for the first 3-4 shows, where you can see if the viewership trends download or not.

This is one of the few new shows that actually looks intriguing to me. It's been generating quite a bit of buzz as well -- I'll be tuning in.

I haven't seen anything on this, and I'm still not sure if I'll check it out, but this is starting to get a lot of good buzz. I'll be curious to see how it does in the ratings.

That sums up my thoughts on all of the new shows. If they have good buzz and are renewed I'll check it out. If they get canned then my life wasn't as much of a waste as it could have been.

Liked it. But I wish the lead actor wasn't trying so hard to be George Clooney.

Liked it a lot. James Wolk could pass as Kyle Chandler's younger brother.

I'll give it a few more episodes to see if it picks up because of the positive buzz, but I was pretty much bored to death through out it.

Interesting. I thought it was one of the better pilots I have seen in a long time. I just wonder if they can sustain the storyline without it becoming repetitve over the seasons.

Damn, this show had the best soundtrack of any new show this season, easily. Concept was interesting as well. I'll give it a few more episodes, at least.

This was excellent. The concept is pretty original and all the little hints dropped throughout were very cool.

Again like Hawaii 5-0 last night, this one felt like someone had a little too much fun in the editing room. That thing with Travis (the dude Bob punched in the face) came out of nowhere and pulled me out for a second or two. But the footing was there.

Also kudos to Marc Webb, the direction in the episode was incredible.

I am in for this one week to week, but I don't think it is going to last.

This pilot was well-done but I didn't feel anything drawing me in to watch more. If it gets more buzz down the line I might pick it up again.

This has a lot of promise. Hopefully FOX demonstrates patience and it can survive in the brutal timeslot.

Well done episode, but man it makes you not want to trust anyone! LOL

All-in-all it was enjoyable. I'm just not sure if the audience will get past a greatly faulted main character who's a polygamist.

I tuned in for about 5 minutes - and it was the part where the girl in the hotel bar was begging this guy to go up to her room... he says "no" because he loves 2 other women

It got a 1.3 after House....it'll be canceled by October.

Crap -- it's a difficult timeslot. Maybe FOX moves it? (although difficult to build an audience that way).

Uhh no. It's dead. Lie to Me in the summer got better ratings. It's a huge bomb. Now I'm not sure I'll bother watching it on my DVR. Looked great.

That's a real shame. My FOX curse will seemingly continue.

Wow! That really did bomb. I guess that'll free up some room on my DVR.

It lost over half of House's lead-in, that's really bad.

4.1m viewers, yeah that's terrible. Putting anything up on debut against Dancing with the Stars is a poor idea.

Strange that in the UK 4.1 million would be considered a hit!
