I'm looking forward to watching tonight. Hamm mentioned on Jon Stewart's Daily show that they wrapped shooting S-4 a couple of weeks ago. Good to hear!

I felt kind of bad laughing during the scene with them dealing Miss Blakenship
Sally seems like she's well on the path to being a total train wreck, but Jon Hamm had to be relieved to finally do a family scene with a quality actress.

"I'd ask my secretary to it, but she is dead!"
Good episode. I'll miss Miss Blankenship. "She looks chubbier in pictures."

Peggy's conscience being tweaked on racism sort of fell flat, and the writing of how Joanie and Roger rekindled their office romance was a bit clumsy, but Don had quite a confluence of drama, with Sally making a break from Francis compound, and the executive secretary expiring at her desk to the reaction of the event by the rest of the office.

Yeah the Joanie & Roger mugging was too contrived. I may be alone in this but whenever they try to incorporate current events of the time period into the story it always falls flat. That aside I enjoyed the episode.

The imagery in the final 5 minutes were amazing; that shot where all of Don's "girls" were behind him while talking to Betty was just awesome.

I was a little disappointed in this episode: the dead secretary was more of a standard sitcom plot device, the mugging scene seemed pretty forced, and although it was nice visually, in real life, all of those women would not have gone out into the lobby to listen to a couple argue over their problem child.

"She died the way she lived; surrounded by the people she answered phones for."
Is it in John Slatterly's contract that he gets the best line in every episode?

The little girl who plays Sally may be one of the best actresses on the show. Am I the only one who noticed that she's incorporated many of Betty's/January Jone's mannerisms into the character (But with the added benefit of actually being able to act as well)?

Yes, Kiernan Shipka is a great young actress, and she was definitely Betty's daughter. I'm not sure how much of it is coaching, but she pulls it off really well.

Sally is going to be ready to drop out when she reaches the teen years in the late 60's. One of the original flower children ready to escape her own personal hell.

I also agree that the girl playing Sally does a great job.

Another really solid episode.
RIP Miss Blankenship. Really enjoyed Randee Heller's portrayal of her. She had some great little 1 liners.
at Megan the receptionist. I looked up Jessica Pare on IMDB.com and haven't really seen anything with her that stood out, but man did she look beautiful in this episode and I loved the scene where Sally fell and she and Megan hugged.
at Dr. Faye's initial introduction to Sally and Sally saying "I know that!"
Sally was a real thorn on Don's side in this episode, but I guess it's understandable considering how really awful Betty has treated her. As for Betty... Especially after her phone call with Don and how she refused to pick her up because she and Henry had plans.

If you need to see something that stood out for Jessica Pare, look for the red-band trailer to "Hot Tub Time Machine". She's got great cheek bones, wished her teeth weren't so gappy, though.

Her hair looked great and she looked great in that dress, but yeah I did notice the gaps in her teeth.

Yeah, I thought that a few weeks ago and in this episode it really stood out. I was actually thinking to myself, "She's so channeling Betty Draper... even better than January Jones." It really is uncanny.
