Bones had a 20.8m / 6.1 demo leading into it, so I wouldn't read too much into it. But yeah... CSI is low these days... and frankly needs to just go away.

Re: Primetime TV Ratings - Part V (2010-2011 Season)

CBS topped the night’s adults 18-49 ratings with a less than impressive 2.3 rating average as the two hour finale of The Amazing Race was down 4% from last week to its lowest rating finale ever. Bouncing up 4% from last week’s Bin Ladened episode, the season finale of CSI: Miami was still quite low at a 2.0 rating. Earlier in the evening, boosted by the interview with President Obama 60 Minutes 2.3 rating was up 53% from last week.

On ABC, the season finale of Brothers & Sisters was up 25% from the extremely low Bin Ladened episode last week to just a 2.0 adults 18-49 rating. Earlier in the evening, Desperate Housewives2.8 rating was even with last week, America’s Funniest Home Videos 1.7 rating was down 15% from last week, and Extreme Makeover: Home Edition’s 2.1 rating was down 9%.

Fox’s animation line up was up and down, with American Dad’s 1.5 adults 18-49 rating down 6% (vs. 4/10), and The Simpsons 2.5 rating down 7% vs. last week. Bob’s Burgers 2.0 rating was up 5% (vs. 4/10), while Family Guy’s 3.2 rating was up 7% (vs. 4/17). Finishing the night, The Cleveland Show drew a 2.2 rating, down 4% (vs. 4/17).

A special three hour Celebrity Apprentice scored a 2.4 adults 18-49 rating, down 23% from last week’s 105 minute episode that was scrambled by the Bin Laden news, but it led NBC to its best Sunday night overall ratings since the Golden Globes. Earlier in the evening, Dateline NBC drew a 0.8 rating, down 33% vs. last Sunday’s 7pm hour.

I'd say give CSI one more season (give the 9pm slot to The Mentalist and put CSI at 10pm) and get William Petersen back for some 3-episode story arc or something to end the series.

Due to the nature of live sports programming the ratings for ABC (NBA Finals, Pregame, Kimmel) are approximate and subject to more than the typical adjustments in the final numbers. See below for more information on these Fast Affiliate Ratings.

In Tuesday’s preliminary (and likely to be adjusted up) fast affiliate ratings the primetime portion of the Heat/Mavericks NBA Finals Game 1 from 9-11pm scored a 5.5 adults 18-49 rating, that was up 22% vs. the fast affiliate 4.5 adults 18-49 rating for primetime portion of last year’s game 1 of the Lakers/Celtics series. Expect those preliminary ratings to be adjusted upwards in the final ratings available later today.

While ABC will certainly top the night’s adults 18-49 ratings, we’ll have to wait for the final ratings to see by exactly how much.

Unlike the Mavericks, NBC had an up night vs. LeBron & Co, as America’s Got Talent was up 17% vs. last season’s premiere notching a 4.2 adults 18-49 rating. That was the show’s best adults 18-49 rating since the season 2 finale on 8/21/2007. With that strong lead in, The Voice rebounded from last week, rising 29% to a 4.9 rating.

The only other new show on broadcast last night, the continuing burn off of Fox’s cancelled Traffic Light drew just a 0.8 adults 18-49 rating. Down 38% from its last new episode on 5/10/11.

Late-night ratings are below the primetime data.

Re: Primetime TV Ratings - Part V (2010-2011 Season)

New Season. New Ratings.

CBS easily won the first night of the season as Two and Half Men scored nearly 28 million viewers to go along with its 10.3 adults 18-49 rating (leading not only the night, but any scripted show in the 2010-11 season by a wide margin).

Things were much gloomier for NBC. The Sing Off didn't crack a 2.0 rating and the premiere of The Playboy Club managed only a 1.6 adults 18-49 rating. By comparison, last season's premiere of the now cancelled Chase scored a 2.5 adults 18-49 rating in the preliminary numbers. More analysis coming, but the table of data is below:

Late-night results are below the primetime data.

CBS Hawaii Five-0 (Season Premiere) 3.1/8 11.42
NBC The Playboy Club (Series Premiere) 1.6/4 5.01

How I Met Your Mother pulled Two and a Half Men ratings last night, Two and a Half Men pulled ridiculous ratings last night. 2 Broke Girls will probably be the biggest New Series debut of any this year.

Re: Primetime TV Ratings - Part V (2010-2011 Season)

Rich,
Do you want to actually start a new 2011-12 thread for tonight since this is from last season? The stickys get ignored most of the time and I think people here will overlook the ratings if they are continued to be posted in this thread.
