Re: Warehouse 13 -- "Buried" -- 09/14/10

Very interesting 1st part of the season finale.

Very heavy mythology based and it was good to find out what the hell Mrs. Frederic was the the Warehouse being that she is the caretaker. I still don't really understand how those college kids awakening Warehouse 2 would have had some impact on Mrs. Frederic. Now we know that Claudia for all intents and purposes in the heir apparent to her.

at H.G. sporting the Lara Croft Tomb Raider outfit.

I also thought it was funny that the Medusa took everyone to their happiest place and Myka's was having coffee and getting a new assignment at Warehouse 13 from Artie, but in a way it's kind of sad to see how truly lonely her character is.

Thank God Valda is gone. As I mentioned in another W13 thread, personally I'm tired of seeing Mark Sheppard guest starring in everything.

Some of the special effects were really cheesy, but overall it was a compelling episode and the reveal that H.G. was in fact the villain all along did not surprise me one bit.

BTW, liked the little hint of H.G.'s bi-sexuality when she said that "Many of my lovers were men" which some of you were kind of mentioning with the sexual tension between her and Myka.

Apparently, a warehouse caretaker has a psychic connection to any active warehouses. Once Warehouse 2 was awakened, Mrs. F was overwhelmed by the psychic forces of having two warehouses to care for.

I'm fairly new to this show, though, so I could be wrong.

Actually that does make sense.

That's pretty much what they said in the episode.

According to W13 executive producer, it's been renewed for a 3rd season:

The summer Syfy shows have been a pleasant surprise for me.

The only part that I didn't really care for was the "one must die" bit. It seemed completely contrived to me. There wasn't really any dramatic tension to it. The character simply... died. Nothing made me believe the death was necessary. At least they could have put the other characters in immediate peril, giving the death some more discernible meaning.

The rest of it was great. And the "fashionable British archeologists" line was hilarious.

Good to hear it will come back. Not a huge surprise. The ratings have been pretty consistent for a SyFy channel show.
