Synopsis:



Yes indeed another season of One Tree Hill. 13 episodes ordered right now with the possibility of the back 9. Noone is saying this is definitely the final season, but it's likely since all the cast members contracts are up after this season.

In case you don't remember what happened in the finale:

1) Everyone went to Utah for a vacation and to see Julian's movie at some festival.
2) Brooke and Julian are now engaged.
3) Haley tells Nathan she's pregnant
4) Psycho Katie shoots poor Clay and Quinn

BTW, Bethany Joy Galeotti (Haley) is actually pregnant in real life and may leave the show after the initial 13 episodes.

Nice little article in TV Guide previewing this season. Mark Schwahn is promising alot of changes. But, 1st and foremost, the theme song is back and they will have a guest artist re-do it every week.

Not pertinent to this episode, but Jana Kramer (Alex) is newly single once again. She got divorced from Jonathan Schaech after 2 months of marriage. Schaech deserves to be eternally single for losing 2 hotties back to back (Christina Applegate and now Jana)

I actually really enjoyed the last season of the show. I felt like seasons 5 and 6 where grasping at straws trying to recapture the fun of the show's previous seasons, but last year I can't think of another show I was actually excited to watch come monday besides "One Tree Hill." I just hope that Schwahn doesn't go insane and try at aim at a season 9 when the show really should end in May.

Seeing that the CW has no midseason replacements for this or Life Unexpected, I fully expect these to get full season pickups. And yes I agree Schwahn absolutely should write this season as the last one.

Thrilled to see the opening credits back. But I'm confused... I thought all the stuff that happened at the end of last season's finale (and again before the credits this season) happened in Utah? Am I misremembering that, or did they retcon it?

I think they went home. It looked like Clay and Quinn were back at his house. Nate and Haley were definitely at their home. The cliffhanger doesn't matter anyways now.

As I posted earlier, it looks like Schwahn is indeed scrapping the insane storylines from last season. Hopefully they go for more fun Tree Hill.

Okay, I went back at rewatched the end of last season's finale and they did go back, but it was edited in a way that didn't tip me off to the fact they had switched locations. The next scene after Utah was Alex in her 'hotel room', which was her Tree Hill hotel room, not the Utah one. And I guess I just thought the rest of the scenes were in a really nice lodge.

I agree with all the comments about the opening theme song being back - it was really awesome in a nostalgic sort of way! Although I had to watch it twice to count how many season regulars this show has now!

So the cliffhanger was real after all. That was quite a surprise.

That was a really good premiere. I loved the brighter tone compared to most episodes last season.

I like the little snarky cat fighting going on between Alex and Mia. What's One Tree Hill without a love triangle?

Sucks that Brooke lost everything.

That was my initial reaction - he became a pudgy little dude. Good workout for Nathan.

It was nice to see the opening credits. First time I ever realized the actual names of Millicent, Quinn and Clay.

I like bitchy Alex - hope they keep that cattiness going.

When Jamie called Nathan "retard" with the accent, I hope it's not foreshadowing of Nathan and Haley's second child's possible condition.

Like the rest, I was glad to see the opening credits back.

Brooke looked ridiculously hot in this episode. Glad to see they're just putting her in bras and shit 'cause that's my favorite Brooke look.
