Synopsis:

Spoiler:
In the seventh-season finale, Ari's emotional outburst threatens to undermine a surprise party for his wife the next day. Meanwhile, Eric fields an interesting offer from Terrance (Malcolm McDowell), which makes him consider a business proposal from Scott; Turtle's tequila business is in danger of sinking; and the guys worry that Vince's licentious behavior has reached the point of no return.

I normally don't do this thread, but looks like Mr. X isn't around today, so I'll pick up the slack.

Will return for a 6 episode final season next year.

Left a lot open. While I don't like the dark turns, I understand what's going on (I think) and know how it fits into the big picture. Loved Vince getting his ass kicked by Eminem, Christina Aguilera looked gorgeous, and John Cleese is a welcome addition to anything.

Excellent Finale! Watching Vince get his ass kicked by Eminem was great! Christina Aguilera looked great... as did Sasha

Maybe I'm just in a bad mood, but I thought every woman in tonight's episode needed a punch in the mouth.

I would LOVE to see this show end with Vince in the gutter. Would take some serious balls, but I would applaud them loudly.

Great finale. Good to see someone finally give Vince the ass kicking he deserved. I'm sure they'll find a way to bring him back in the final season. I don't see the series ending on a down note.

I know we have an 8 episode final season, does anyone know when it'll start? I assume next June but with the short season I can see them bringing it back early, kind of like what they did with season 3 parts 1 and 2.

While this season wasn't as good as previous seasons, I do like how the theme this season was humility for all the characters. Everyone seemed perfect at the end of last season and they pull it away from them this season and there was no deus ex machina ending that made everything ok.

I have no idea why they decided to become Arliss-lite with all the random sports cameos. Jordan Farmar? Really?

Other than that, I'm intrigued to see where they go from here. I just hope wherever they take it, it doesn't include the useless porn star character.

I know mrs. Ari surely did.

Really good episode. Almost touching with Ari and his wife separating. The stuff with Vince should have been done seasons ago.

I have to say that I'm so used to watching great drama and performances on HBO that seeing Adrian Grenier struggle through his dramatic scenes was plain painful.

There was a very brief moment where I thought that Sasha Grey actually changed expressions, but I was wrong.

I enjoyed the episode, but now that I think about it...pretty surprising that Shauna wasn't included in the intervention.

I kind of feel it would have been out of place since we barely saw her all season. Plus the intervention was just his friends, not people that were just looking out for a client. Which is why it was hard to see Vince fly off the handle because he acted as if they were just there to protect their investment.

Great finale to an underwhelming season. I have to say I didn't expect the cliffhanger at the end. A lot is going to have to covered in the >3hours they have left to wrap up the show...

Looks like I called the Empire Strikes Back ending... ballsy, but you know it will all work out next season.

It will all end up on a good note next year, that is why this season was so pointless, as they should have ended the show last year.

I really thought that was a lame episode to a totally lame season that doesn't fit with any Entourage season. If I wanted to watch a damn drama on HBO, I would have popped in my Deadwood or Canivale DVD's! I maybe laughed about 5 times all season.

-The Turtle Tequila plot ran the whole season and was totally pointless.

-Drama, who is the funniest character on the show, was relegated to one funny line a episode, and hardly appeared with Turtle all season, which is the best 1-2 dynamic next to Lloyd/Ari.

-The Vince storyline was actually pretty good, but if they would have made the supporting characters funnier this year, that would have been a good dynamic. Instead they went all dramatic with EVERY FRICKIN CHARACTER!!

-And I can't stop laughing everytime E gets tough as someone needs to knock him out.

Sorry, but this season was lame, and as a diehard Entourage fan, I could really care less about the final season.

That was a great episode. SO GOOD to see Vin get his ass kicked. He's been asking for it for like...six seasons now. Great job, Eminem. That was a pretty unexpected cliffhanger, too. Nice choice for an ending song, too, but that's par for the course with this show.

I hope this show ends with Vin with one barrel in his mouth. I hate his character now. But shit, they already promised a movie, so no chance of that.

Well then you clearly aren't a "diehard" fan. Do you even know what that word means?

This season was no worse overall than last season. Hell I couldn't even finish last season last year. I had to marathon the rest of it a few weeks ago just so I could get to this season. It was a ton of lame-ass episodes barely saved by that sap-happy ending.

Uh yeah, I know what the word 'diehard fan' means. It means haven't missed an episode since the show started, and sadly next year I could really care less what happens.

And there is a HUGE difference between this season and previous seasons, this season wasn't FUNNY!!!!! The show is a comedy, and went all dramatic this year. Now if fans are fine with that, that's cool by me, but I loved the show because it was always funny, and sort of a guilty pleasure.

No they shoudln't've. It has to end with the E, Turtle, and Johnny becoming successful on their own and leaving Vince by himself -- preferably as a success of his own, but if he ends up in the gutter, so be it. They weren't there last year.

Good episode last night and a good finale to the darker season the show took this year. Looking forward to the wrap-up next summer.

Good finale to a decent season, the only really bad part for me for the season was the Turtle/Tequila plotline.

Apparently the only purpose for it was to pimp a tequila and provide an opening for non sequitur cameos.

isn't it funny that Christina Aguilera gets 20 seconds of air time, yet completely out acts Sasha Grey? hell, even Ryan Howard was solid. :)

Re: Entourage -- Season Finale -- "Lose Yourself" -- 09/12/10

Loved the finale. As someone else said, the show needs to end with everyone a success on their own. And they are setting it up to do just that.

- E will join forces with Scott and successfully take down their boss.
- Drama's cartoon will be a hit.
- Turtle will finally catch a break with this tequila business.
- Vince will bounce back.

Now my perfect ending would be for the first three things to happen, and then end with Vince returning home a burnt out actor, or something on the downer level. He starts a success, brings his friends along for the ride, screws it up, and fails while his friends make something of themselves.

And as far as being a little darker and more dramatic this season, I don't mind it. I just enjoy watching these characters do what they do. It's not like this season was without laughs. Bring on the final season!

Every story line in the show's history has always ended up one of two ways for the characters either awesome or totally awesome. See no reason why this won't be the same for the series finale.
