Decent finale last night. Glad Russell wasn't officially killed off.

Wound up watching this + the repeat. Liked it better the second time.

Me too. Then all the characters could eventually lose touch with here, and she'd be gone from the show.

A quick grisly death in the S4 premiere would also suffice.

Wost, most annoying character in an HBO series....ever. But ooh look she has new hair! I bet Eggs would have loved i.....oh Eggs I miss you - boo hoo.

Yeah, I was wondering about that too.

Very boring season finale. And Tara looks like a Fry Guy with that new hair cut.

I would assume June. After the episode Alan Ball said something like "See you next summer."

I'm just going to be happy that Russell is still around and try to forget everything else.

Re: True Blood -- Season Finale -- "Evil is going on" -- 09/12/10

That was a joke, right? That was probably the worst season finale ever. Too many storylines with little to no payoff. Tara gets a haircut, yay?!! Jason meets a girl a week ago and is now caretaker to a bunch of inbred panthers...what? And then they end it with a Heroes cliffhanger. I thought they were heading somewhere with all of these side stories, but I guess not. I wouldn't have said this a few episodes ago, but Season 2 was much better. They ruined Season 3 with that shit ending.

Did Russell survive in the books or is this a departure?

Re: True Blood -- Season Finale -- "Evil is going on" -- 09/12/10

I thought is was disappointing for a finale and just OK as an episode.

The wrap up for the main story was decent, but I don't care much about the side stories -- I haven't for most of the season. The season as a whole would have been lackluster if not for Edgington. He stole the show.

I would be happy to see Tara gone. I think she cried and quivered in every episode. Annoying. At least she smiled at the end.

After last night, I'm definitely team Eric. He might be an asshole, but at least he owns up to it and doesn't try to hide it like Bill.

If you think about it, Bill's plot has now pretty much just become She's All That, but with vampires.

Who was the assassin that Bill tried to get to kill Pam (and that Pam subsequently killed)? Have we seen him before? I can't put a face to the name.

I'm wondering if it was that dude who's also the coach on GLEE?

EDIT: No, his name is "Chow".

I can't quote the conversation verbatim, but it was something like this:

Eric: Thanks for rescuing me.
Pam: First I had to take care of Ruben.

Plus she was pulling dried concrete out of her hair in that scene.

Actually seeing that scene would have been far more entertaining than anything we saw involving Jason, Sam, Tara, Arlene, Lafayette, etc.

book spoilers:
Spoiler:
I'm only most the way through the 4th book, but the 3rd book didnt have as much of Russell as the 3rd season did. I dont think he even makes an appearence after sookie saves bill. my wife has read all the book (maybe not the newest one, and said in a later book there is a big wedding event when russel marries the queen, so the tv series is jumping around a lot more.
