I can't believe nobody has mentioned the biscuit scene. I thought it was one of the best scenes in True Blood history.

I thought that worked really well, with Jason swooping in to eat her biscuits before Hoyt. If they didn't have Jason so hung up on Crystal Meth I would think he was going to snatch her away from Hoyt.

Re: True Blood -- "Hitting the Ground" -- 08/01/10

They write some great lines for Jason. "I never really thought I was smart enough to get depressed"

BTW, it takes time for the relationship between maker and sire to develop. They have to get over the initial resentment and anger toward being turned. Bill was tricked into becoming a vampire, and Jessica was kidnapped and forced. Not exactly the best ways to build a strong relationship.

The show has really delivered the last few weeks. Another great episode tonight.

That biscuit scene was great. And man, those tits were screaming to get out of that dress, or was that just me?

OK, so if you submitted this episode to the MPAA as a feature do you think it would get an R or an NC-17?

This one? Possibly an R. However, I would say there have been some eps. in the past that would definitely fall under NC-17.

Re: True Blood -- "Hitting the Ground" -- 08/01/10

I honestly feel that this season has really trumped the first two in major ways. Characters seem more defined, and we are actually getting more of an idea as to how big of a mythology there is in this alternate reality they inhabit. Furthermore, Russell is the most interesting villain this series has had thus far. Drew was dull, and MaryAnn was not much of an improvement. Maybe it's because Russell reminds me of the Big Bads from the Buffy series; you just can't get enough of hating him.

Here's a comic-con interview with Kristin Bauer and Joe Manganiello. Gotta love Joe's quick riff on Twilight.

Loved this episode, pissed that it was a few minutes short. I hate that we only get 12 episodes a season. I need more! I am so addicted!

Absolutely.

I think the first season was from barely watchable to good. The second season was barely watchable. Too good that I didn't watch live, I watched both seasons back to back in blu-ray and then online.

But this season has been great. Russell is really interesting, I love him! I will cry when he dies.

Good episode except for Sookie's coma-vision magic dreamland of light.
What the hell kinda of cheesy shit was that!?

Too bad she's the main character - she's the one I like to get rid of the most. Even Bill is a good character this year.

It's funny because I think Anna Paquin does a very good job with the character, but I kinda feel that Sookie is an almost completely unlikeable person.

Come on, obviously it's a water tunnel to the island of LOST. Jack may have saved the light from the MIB, but now the Vampires want in on it.

That was the only bad thing about this ep., Sookie's cheesy dream that looked like it should be an Enya or Lorenna McKennit video. I know what they were trying for, but just because they can doesn't mean they should.

While the dream was a little cheesy, atleast it did serve its purpose and give more information on her character and on her background as well.

It really didn't. It made no sense.
Maybe it does if you read the books, but I didn't.

Even if you didnt read the books, it should make sense. Go back and rewatch the episode. There are a few key scenes before the dream happens to add more to the mystery of who/what Sookie is. And then during the dream sequence theres some information that is slowly revealed about her parents and then she has been "there" before. I'm sure things will be clearer in the next few episodes.

Absolutely. They are not going to end this season without revealing that for sure. Damn, Debbie Pelt is just such a loathsome creature. I was a little surprised there was no Franklin Mott in this episode, but then it did end at the sundown after they escaped. Tara's non-decapitating-head-bashing is probably still giving him a little bit of a headache. Poor Zeljko Ivanek. He always seems to get bumped off every show he's on.

Re: True Blood -- "Hitting the Ground" -- 08/01/10

Pretty good ep

Highlights:

-Sam turned into a sweet ass Pit Bull. That dog was gorgeous.
-Debbie...the actress that played her did a great job in that opening scene.
-The King...He's just awesome. I love him.
-The Queen with The King....Sophie's childish manners go well with The King's smug demeanor.
-Erik and Pam together again...YEAHEEAAHHA!!!
-Sam saving Tommy... Pretty cool to have family that cares
-That Summer chick....I'm in love with her and I didn't even need her cooking.

Lo's:

-No Jessica...come on! Really?
-Lorenna's death...I loved Lorenna and I'll miss her dearly
-ep Run time....come on! Really?

Re: True Blood -- "Hitting the Ground" -- 08/01/10

I really hope they build up the inevitable showdown with Eric and Russell. But FWIW, we have no solid evidence aside from the crown that he is the one Eric seeks. The individual who raided his home was cloaked, so it might very well be another.
