I believe the preview was for the rest of the season, not just next week's episode.

Most episodes cover a single day and there hasn't been much time between seasons (none between 2-3). It wouldn't make sense to have an extreme weather change, unless Storm shows up in Bon Temps.

Hmm, Halle Berry as storm. Considering the amount of sex in true blood and given Anna Paquin's confession of being bi-sexual this idea of yours might have merit. I insist you contact Alan Ball immediately.

Easily the best ep of this season and prob all of last season as well. Even Sam's storyline was somewhat interesting.

I agree, I actually like Sam's storyline, though I am sure I am in the minority on that issue. I was pissed that Franklin was killed so easily, I would so love true blood to keep his character around for good. He is so crazy and evil he is fun to watch.

I just finished all the books and there is plenty of good stuff left to go. Can't wait for next season.. if they stay true and keep following the books it will be heavy with a certain character.. yum

Good Ep.

-Sophie's shoes and outfit.
-Sam's Mother in the ring is interesting.
-Jason smackin' the kid on his ass while he's bangin'
-Lorena...I'm probably one of the few people around who likes her and her crazy obsession.
-Alcide showing up.
-Don Swayze getting beat up.
-Franklin "dies" in ugly silk PJs

Another excellent episode and I really am digging how, despite there seeming to be so many different storylines, they all flow really well.

Sam's storyline isn't bothering me as much, maybe because it's a change of pace from the Vampire storylines and then when they start again, "Bam" the show kicks up a notch.

I'm trying my best not to check out the spoilers, since I haven't read any of the books, I really don't want any surprise, but at the same time I'm curious if the show is following true to the books.

The show isnt following the books exactly, but they are following them to a good extent. If they followed the books exactly, I'm sure alot of people would've been upset

Cool, I actually thought you had read that series and knew what it meant. Oh well!

I mentioned it because I have always felt that any drama series under a certain banner (HBO in this case) can be treated somewhat like comic series that are under the same brand, like Marvel or DC. Thus, True Blood can also have a connection to Game of Thrones, Carnivale, or anything similar in nature as long as it's an HBO series.

I liked the use of MC Solaar's Le Belle et la Bad Boy when Lafayette and Jesus were in the car

Has anyone seen this trailer with bits of the rest of the eps in it? I'm sorry if it was posted before. I searched the TB threads and didn't find it. It looks like the HBO preseason trailer but I don't think I've seen this particular one.

Re: True Blood -- "I Got a Right to Sing the Blues" -- 07/25/10

Question for those who have read the books:

Spoiler:
Is Nan Flanagan a character in those stories? If so, is she the top of the chain for Vampire command? She seems such that no vampire at any level has power over her. She's definitely shaping up to be a "big bad" of sorts from those spots. I also don't think they would be using her so extensively in the fake TV spots they show if she weren't going to play a major role at some point.

Not sure if this really needs a spoiler tag, but I dont believe her character was ever mentioned in the books.

Re: True Blood -- "I Got a Right to Sing the Blues" -- 07/25/10

So do all of the female regulars have no-nudity clauses in their contracts now?

So far, this season has been nothing but man-ass (with the exception of those college girls Jason nailed, and they were just guest-stars). I note that, during Eric's daydream about Sookie, when she pulled off her robe that was a perfect opportunity to have her naked. Who the hell fantasizes about women pulling off a robe only to be wearing a bra and panties?

Maybe he was fantasizing about removing them himself?

Aside from Paquinn I dont think any of the regular chicks have gotten naked. Even that sexy blonde wife of the preacher last season didnt get naked.

I smell a Vito and Lafayette romance, Johnny Cakes style.
