I get a creepy feeling that the above picture was shot from one of those ceiling cameras.

This has perhaps the worst dialog and character interaction I can remember seeing on TV.

Re: Persons Unknown -- "Exit One" -- New Time (8pm) -- 06/28/10

Other than the reveal that Joe was a plant by the folks who did the kidnapping, I thought this was a terrible filler episode.

What was the whole point of that cab picking up Joe and Janet and then having that Big Ass Truck stalk them and then destroy the cab and kill the driver? All it did was send Joe and Janet on wild goose chase, which led them back to the town.

Okay, Tori turned out to be a pointless character. I don't understand how she assumed her father was behind the whole thing. And then at the very end she gets a free pass out with another cab coming in. Her attempt to seduce the Night Manager was lame.

The whole conversation with Charlie and Bill was just idiotic time wasting filler.

So the reporter and Janet were married after all? Okay, I still don't know what the hell is going on with that story line.

I'm beginning to think this series would have been better as 6 episodes instead of 13. I mean we are only 4 episodes in and nothing has progressed. I'm still in until the end, but was really frustrated by this episode.

Agreed. And DJ everything you said was spot on.

It's a horrible show ... and I cannot look away.

No doubt. The acting and dialogue in this aren't half as bad as Happy Town. The premise for this show is also much more interesting. Still, it could be much better with more realistic characters and situations.

I didnt see happy town but I cant imagine anything having worse acting and dialogue. I'm bailing on this one. I gave it more than enough opportunity to find its legs but it seems to be getting worse.

They won't let you go. You think you are deleting it from your PVR, but it will keep coming back.

The night manager said one guest was checking out. I think the first cab was just a way to get the second cab driver to pick up his passenger. I think she felt safer going after the first 2 left.

Definitely summertime filler - if this were broadcast during the regular season, we all would have bailed out by now.

looks like Attack of the Show's track record of having a guest on, then having them killed/leave a show is in tact.

Caught this episode last night. Agreed that it felt utterly pointless. Still, I'll keep watching because I don't think the show is that bad. I'm glad that Joe and the Chinese chef finally broke their 'cover'. Maybe we'll get some actual story advancement next episode.

The 'lawyer' should have just murdered that 'car salesman' jackass. I can't remember a TV character ever being so annoying. Plus, why the fuck should Charlie care if the most hated guy among the kidnapped lets them all know he killed his wife? First he has no proof, and beyond that none of these people know each other. Not to mention, they currently all have more important things to worry about.

Right, so nothing in this episode really made any sense.

I agree that now with Joe being the "mole" I think we will see some story advancement. I was scratching my head why Charlie gave a crap about Bill's comments so much. The only "Proof" he has was what he claimed he saw on a video clip. Bill doesn't even know where Charlie lives, let alone what state he's from.

I'm out. Too stupid, boring and just plain bad.
No fucking way I'm in till the end when it can't even hold my attention or do some basic storytelling in the first 4 episodes.

Which brings up the point someone mentioned last week -- how the fuck did his mother-in-law and (presumably) his daughter not recognize him when he went to interview them?!

I think the "salesman" is a plant too.

If there's one thing I think we can easily conclude about what's going on is that these people -- for whatever reason -- are being tested. Joe is clearly there to test Janet. Kill Joe and go free. Help Joe escape the bees or he will die (I doubt he's actually allergic).

Similarly, I think the salesman is Charlie's tester -- will he take the easy way out like he did with his wife and kill him?

Which would probably leave psycho lady as black dude's tester. Or the other way around? Not sure yet.

And that leaves sexy young thing as the wildcard. Not sure where she fits into this scenario.

Why are they being tested? I guess that's going to be the big reveal.

They are being tested to find the one who will replace the hotel manager. There is ongoing epic war between the hotel and the chinese restaurant.

Oh wait ... nevermind
