Merlin -- "The Witch's Quickening" -- 06/18/10

Synopsis (substantial spoilers):

Spoiler:
Mordred brings a warlock, Alvarr, to see Morgana and they persuade her to steal a crystal with magical properties from the vaults of Camelot. Alvarr tells her it can be used to help people like themselves with special powers though he really intends to destroy Camelot. Merlin and Arthur pursue him, returning him and the crystal to court, though Mordred escapes and Morgana, having disowned Pendragon, springs Alvarr from prison by drugging the guards. Merlin, having looked into the crystal, is alarmed by a vision of chaos but Gaius assures him that it is far into the future.

Is anyone else watching this show? Because it's pretty much become awesome.

Syfy is re-airing the episode next Friday at 9:00 if anyone's interested. Really good fantasy stuff.

If Merlin would just tell Morgana he can use magic as well he wouldnt be having all these problems. She feels she is all alone there in Camelot and of course she is gonna turn to anyone else.

The "Arthur must think Merlin stupid no matter what Merlin does" bit the writers are stuck in is becoming wearisome.

I watched this when it originally aired so I haven't been commenting here because my memory isn't the greatest for each individual ep and I could easily spoil something.

I think, in general, the show is stuck in terms of the Aurthur/Merlin/King relationships, which form the basic structure of the show. They do a good job this season moving other characters forward, but they don't seem to be in any hurry to mix things up at a more fundamental level.
