BTW, anyone else catch her in "Green Zone"? I had an odd reaction to her in this very serious role -- I kept wanting to smile every time she was on screen. Dangers of type-casting I guess;

What...? Type-casting? Was The Office actually the first role you'd seen Amy Ryan in? She's normally a dramatic actor. The Office was actually the odd role out in her career.

I'd rather have them bring back that hot piece of ass Donna for a few more episodes than "Gabe" for a full season.

Amy Pietz. She played that Bar Manager who was having an affair with Michael. Gorgeous Woman, too bad Michael had a conscience.

I wonder how many Office fans know that she was nominated for an Oscar?

Kathy Bates was in like 3 episodes total.

I don't know if you're joking or not, but this was my thought early on when they introduced Gabe.

Well, next season of The Office is off to a bad start and hasn't even started filming yet.

If anyone needs to come back, it's Amy Ryan. Or the writers/producers/directors/whatevers that made this show amazing in Season 2-4ish.

Well, I just did and I have to say there were no smiles on my face. Amy Ryan is an amazing actress. I despised her character in this movie almost as much as I loved her character in The Office.

And I know this is not the movie forum but I have to comment and say that, when all is said and done, I think this movie fails. I'll spoiler the rest for those who have not seen this movie.

Spoiler:
It has great acting and Ben Affleck proves that his writing Oscar wasn't a fluke but the movie ultimately fails because the choice at the end is not really that difficult. And even then he clearly and inexplicably makes the wrong choice. The choice needed to have more jeopardy attached to leaving the child with Morgan Freeman's character. I just couldn't understand, outside of some vague Catholic guilt, why Casey's character wouldn't leave the girl with him. He kills a child molester/murderer in cold blood yet he decides to take the girl out of a loving home and deliver her to a child abuser. Does he feel a need to balance the universe? Restore an evil that he destroyed by committing a mortal sin? If so, this is idiotic. Nobody would behave like this.

No such luck. Gabe will flourish on this side of the shark. :(
