Isn't this shit filmed? Could they not tell us whether the Incredible Pea Puree was stolen or not? Fuck.
Kelly and Tiffany are the only chefs that aren't irritating to me - this is a really unlikeable bunch. Kenny's "alpha male" and "beast in the kitchen" bullshit is really getting old.
I dunno. Maybe it's because last season was so good, but I'm not finding the challenges or the chefs interesting this season.

Yeah, these people really suck, yet I do enjoy the show... Which says more about the show I think. Ill still watch every episode eventhough I don't like anyone on the show.

Stephen's my man! He reminds me of a kid on the baseball team I coach who thinks he's the greatest player ever yet has only one hit all season and can't catch the ball. You keep tooting your own horn there buddy and don't let the facts get in the way!
And Ed reminds me of a stoner who blurts out odd phrases out of the blue that make everyone back away slowly -- "And then I hit it with some celery spuma, man!"

Yeah, I can't imagine anyone "stole" anyone else's pea puree. It's just a bunch of editing and stupidity. Compared to last season, this one is so boring they have to throw in a bunch of random drama to keep the viewers interested.
I can't believe cold sore - I mean Amanda- is still there. She's sucked the entire season.
Angelo, despite having issues, must be a really good cook if he scraps his dish like 5 minutes before he needs to plate up and still manages to win.
Alex is gross. I wouldn't want to eat his food.

Yeah this season sucks. All the chefs are boring ass motherfuckers and the challenges are either ridiculous or tedious. I don't know if it's DC or what, but they need to sit down and figure out something different for season eight.

I think that's part of the problem. Cooking for politicians? Ugh. Cooking for Mika and Joe? Double ugh. I'm not very familiar with DC, but I'm sure there are much more interesting culinary areas of the city outside of the Capitol.

My friends and I are from the DC area and we agree that there is a lot of untapped potential for cooking. It's like they're wasting their time in DC. When are they going to go behind the counter at Ben's Chili Bowl? Do something in Georgetown?

If you read Tom's blog, the judges didn't know what was going on with the pea puree behind the scenes, and didn't actually know until the episode aired b/c Ed didn't bring it up. There was no footage available that gave a clear answer.
Having watched this episode, I'm still not entirely certain what qualifications my douchy congressman had to be the sole judge on a high stakes quickfire.

If they had picked Amanda, they may have had a chance of keeping Temesha around.

This season reminds of the worst parts of season 2 and season 5. Boring food, unappealing contestants, and immense egotism. Oh well. I guess they're starting to alternate stellar chefs (like season 4 and 6) with amateurish cooks. It can definitely make for more interesting challenges, but not when they put lame personalities against each other.

I hate Alex as well, but it was weak to try to save your own skin by trying to get a member of the winning team booted off. I don't know why Bravo decided to edit this season to make it appear that it was going to be a Kenny vs. Angelo showdown when Kenny only lasted half way. Kenny made some good dishes, but he was also in the bottom on more than one occasion. Based on the judge's comments, his two dishes sucked ass tonight and he deserved to pack his knives although I really thought that they were going to spare him and boot off Amanda.

Say what you like about this show. Each week the genuinely weakest chef generally goes home
They don't keep personalities in for ratings etc
I would say Top Chef has the most integrity of any reality show i watch. None of this bringing eliminated contestants back bullshit etc

I was surprised. Yeah his dishes were bad, but they did point out he ran a smooth kitchen. Amanda, on the other hand, only did one dish and badly. I thought for sure it was going to be her.
