Under the direction of Mark Burnett Productions for the first time, HGTV's popular reality show features the backdrop of New York's skyline for its fifth season. The 12 finalists -- a mix of interior designers, contractors, stylists, architects and artists -- auditioning for their own show on HGTV make their way around the city for the creative challenges, each incorporating an iconic piece of New York such as its fire houses, the flower markets and a runway fashion show. Vern Yip, Genevieve Gorder and Candice Olson return as judges and also act as the hosts, replacing Clive Pearse.
