Man vs. Food -- Season 3 Thread -- Premieres 06/09/10 on Travel Channel
Premieres tonight at 9pm ET
Tonight's episode is Miami
Adam tries to devour a 48-ounce steak in less than 20 minutes at Shula's Streak House in Miami.
I watched about 7-8 episodes of season 1 and 2 on Netflix streaming and had a good time watching this. It's very entertaining, yet a little diffcult to watch at times. Will be tuning in.
Starting next week (the 16th) it's going to be 2 episodes every week.

Here's the episode guide. Tucson, Jersey and Hartford and a Clip show before the Super Bowl themed show.

Tonight's 9pm episode is not showing up as a new episode in Tivo. The guide says the original air date was 4/25/2010.

I ate that steak.. I don't know if I did it in 20 minutes.. but If pressed I'm sure I could.
This steak is a porterhouse .. so the fillet side is nothing and the NY side is not too hard to eat... the ones that give you the problem are those shoulder / broil cuts of meat (nasty)

This sounds like the episode that was the live one. I think it was on around the time of the Superbowl?

I made a post on the Man V. Food facebook page and they responded saying the June 16th episodes is indeed the season premiere. Sounds like this is more or less a re-air or re-packaged version of the Super Bowl episode.

Just wanted to comfirm to you all that tonight's episode (Wednesday the 9th) was indeed a re-air of the Super Bowl episode from February. The new season officially begins next week.

^^Well that makes sense. They have been promoting the season premiere is next week. Is there any list yet of what cities Adam is going to this season? I still want to see a KC episode.

Season 3 opens at the Broken Yolk Café in San Diego, where the hosts attempts a 12-egg omelet smothered in cheese and chili with two biscuits and a huge pile of home fries on the side.

This show is such bullshit and the challenges are all fabricated. THeres this restaurant in my city that just opened and blatantly said they have a challenge just so they can be on/for MvF.
Other than that Im looking forward to the new season Just please no disgusting 7ft tanktop wearing sweaty white trash hamburger cooks from Arizona this season... that ep made me sick.

Other than the really stupid wrestling montage in the 1st episode, these 2 episodes were fun to watch.
I was really impressed that Adam was able to chow down that Omelette and Home Fries. That's 12 eggs!!
The Burrito looked damn good although it's a heart attack waiting to happen.
The 2nd episode was fun too. 50 Chicken Wings is alot of food. I knew Adam was screwed when he had 25+ wings left with about 10 minutes left.

HOWEVER, I won't deny that now, with places wanting publicity and willing to whore themselves out for quick bucks, they invent challenges and petition Adam to show up. It's just like ANY reality/challenge/hidden camera type of show- once the hook is known, the quality just goes downhill.

Very surprising that he failed the wing challenge. I figured he'd be all over that, particularly since it had a 30% success rate. The other 2 meals in Boulder didn't look appetizing to me.
In contrast, nice job on the disgusting omelet in San Diego. But the beef/shrimp burrito and the tri-tip bbq sandwich had me .....sucks that I was just in San Diego. Needed this episode about a month ago.

I enjoyed last night's episodes. I also thought he wouldn't have a problem with the wing challenge. I was surprised he was dipping every wing in the bleu cheese sauce. It seemed like that wasted a lot of time, and also added some richness to the wings that probably made it harder to finish.
I've always wondered something though, and it's bothering me more and more as I continue watching the show: why does he always wear a jacket or or something else long sleeve? You know he gets hot during some of these challenges, and I'm sure it's usually pretty warm in the kitchens. Not to mention how messy he usually gets. I almost wonder if he has a skin condition and doesn't like showing his arms, but in the couple of clips I have seen where he's just wearing short sleeves, I didn't notice anything. It's not like he needs to dress up.

I don't know weather to be watering at the mouth or apalled by that pizza in boulder. I don't know if I could finish one slice of it. Hasn't Adam been to San Diego before? Is it just me or is Adam getting fatter and fatter each season?
