Jeff Zucker's NBC Exit Deal

Destroy a network, get $30+ million. Makes sense...

Some of my favorite shows are on NBC

Chuck
FNL
Parenthood
Community
P&R
The Office
30 Rock

Ok, so it isn't a lot, but I would hate to lose those and have an onslaught of economically feasible reality shows, just so they can crack 13m viewers.

Change is evil. Go away change.

/\ Agreed. While its surprising to say this, NBC is probably my most-watched network. They air a lot of shitty shows, to be sure, but they do offer me the most programming.

Will continue to tune in for more seasons;
Chuck
Parenthood
Community
Parks & Recreation
The Office
30 Rock
Saturday Night Live
The Celebrity Apprentice

Cancelled, but not missed;
Heroes

#1 Network CBS? I don't watch anything on that network

Another source said four of the top players are all making a pitch for the top creative role.

They include Jeff Gaspin, currently NBC Universal Television Entertainment chairman; Bonnie Hammer, NBC Universal Cable Entertainment president; Lauren Zalaznick, president of NBC Universal women and lifestyle entertainment networks and Jeff Shell, Comcast's president of programming.
Ugh.

The absolute only thing I watch on CBS is The Big Bang Theory (one of my favorite shows), but I guess all of the Baby Boomers keep CBS in the top spot.

I don't watch much TV, but the shows I do watch or TV-on-DVD sets that I do buy are almost always NBC, USA, or HBO, and have been for about 20 years now.

You should check out the shows FX and AMC have been putting out the last several years. Good stuff.

Same here. And now that they axed New Adventures of Old Christine, I'm down to HIMYM and Medium (which was axed by NBC and moved to CBS).

I do watch a lot of NBC:
Chuck
Parenthood
Community
Parks & Recreation
The Office
30 Rock
Friday Night Lights

If they could just stick with those, I'd be happy.

By the way, isn't this cockzucker the same guy who game millions to Jay Leno for his shitty show and helped Conan out of NBC? If so, good riddance.

Meh. I don't really watch network television shows that much anymore to be honest. Cable/premium cable is where the best shows are now days. Only shows I watch on NBC are Parenthood and I watch Chuck, but so far I've been watching that more on Blu-ray.

Is Sunny on one of them? I do love those DVDs. And I just bought Breaking Bad S1 after all the positive talk here on it.

She destroyed the SciFi network, and I believe particularly was responsible for the death of Farscape.

Sunny is on FX though Comedy Central now also airs reruns.

Didn't know that. Was only familiar with her on the work she has done with USA Network.

If you like Sunny, I recommend another FX comedy, The League. It's available on Hulu. As for FX dramas, The Shield and Sons of Anarchy are must-sees. I loved the first few seasons of Nip/Tuck and Rescue Me, but got kind of sick of them.

The other AMC drama is Mad Men. It's a little soap opera-ish, so it may not be your cup of tea, but it's very well-crafted and has a great cast.

Now that L&O has been cancelled, the only thing left I watch on NBC is The Office and 30R. But at least it's not FOX, where I watch zilch.

I read that she cancelled, The Invisible Man, MST3K, Special Unit 2, The Dresden Files, Journeyman, The DRESDEN Files, The 4400, Stargate SG1 and Painkiller Jane.

I missed the Invisible Man on SciFi (SyFy).

Scifi fans may hate Bonnie Hammer, but NBC execs lover her for what she did with the USA network: Hits like Burn Notice, In Plain Sight, Psyche, Royal Pains, and White Collar. Plus profitable ventures like picking up L&O:CI and, of course, wrestling.
